Angel destroyed what the she-wolf had written. Then she scratched 'I Hate You!' into the ground. One crystal clear tear fell on the dot of the exclamation, and then Angel was gone. She flew up, out of camp and away from the pack. Then she almost duck dived at Emblem. She heard the words, the three words that could break her or save her. Angel's snow white wings held her in the air as one, two, then three, tears, falling faster and faster, streaked down her long muzzle. Angel saw one tear land in Soul's nose, but all her brain would process were those three words. Suddently Angel's wings wouldn't work. She could feel herself shutting down, but she didn't care. The black and red wolf, Emblem, beat her to him. She had been part of this pack for nearly a year, and that wolfess had gotten him in a few days. As Angel fought to stay in the air, a thought hit her harder than a bullet. What's the point? There was none. When Claw found out how she had used him, he would hate her for it. Even after she promised she wouldn't anymore, Angel used him worse the she used her wings to fly. Angel was falling. She reached for the nearest tree and struggled to save herself, to live, but that thought, that question struck her again. She pushed it away and used the tree to slow her, but from that high up, she just couldn't stop. She hit the ground five yards away from Soul and Emblem, her snow white fur tainted red. The tree had scarlet trails on it and her front paws were sore and covered in blood. The fall had at least fractured one rib, and her left wing was numb. Angel stood, coughing up a little blood on the grass. She looked at them with pain filling her blue eyes, and then she ran. She left bloody footprints behind her, and let out a gasp of pain as she forced her wing to stay at her side, but she wouldn't stop running. Branches whipped at her face, and blood snaked down her side. She couldn't stop running because if she did, she would fall, and she might not be able to get back up again. Just keep running!
