"Hey Xerxes. You ready for this?" Boaz replied. "Definantly, I can't wait." he said excitedly. "Who are you hoping to get to be your mentor?" his brother asked curiously. "I don't know." he replied, though he secretly wished for one of the Alphas to be his mentor.
He heard as Dax said he would take Akia and Katniss, then he said he could take one more. Xerxes jumped up excitedly "Oh! Uncle Dax, may I join you?" he asked quickly. Then he blushed at his outburst and tried to hide his face in his chest fur.

Foalan
Foalan saw her two boys gathered around Rayo and Dax with some of the other wolves. And she saw Eo and Swift a short ways away from the group. 'My pups are fine.' she assured herself, trying not to be so ove protective of them.
She trotted over to the center of the group and announced. "I can take on one or two more apprentices, if anyone would like to join me."

Aderyn began to run, suddenly remembering the apprentice picking was today- she was much older than the rest of the pups being picked, and felt ashamed and embarassed and had to stop for all the stumbling and tripping she was doing. Her face red and a quiet whine escaped before she finally pulled herself together and trotted up to the line of pups, her face strong and proud- her stance the same. She stood, her muscles quivering underneath her pelt as she gazed around at the other pups also doing the same, awaiting for a mentor to pick them.
She sighed quietly, gazing around at the pups and at the mentors.. Her body tense, but a shiver of excitement made it up into her eyes and she couldnt help but start to wag her tail, her heart beating up into her throat not allowing her to even whimper from the excitement that filled the pups heart.

She nodded and sat down as well, her body posture deceptively calm. Akia's bi-colored eyes, however, were shimmering with excitement and a hint of unassuming triumph. Since she was a pup, she'd looked up to Dax as a charismatic, responsible, and popular 'role-model' figure; everything she thought she wasn't. Akiaterine glanced over at Katniss and smiled a minuscule amount, the excitement contained inside of her causing the corners of her mouth to curl upwards.

"Rayo's test will be not only of your strength and skill but everything you do from now on. He want's you to choose a mentor, your choice will be a reflection of your personality as well as your skill. After choosing one he will make his appearance as you will face him in a mini battle after getting some training with the mentor of choice... I must warn you if you loose your fight with Rayo... it wont end well.."
Dax's words made her spine stiffen a bit, further straightening her posture. Rayo is so far superior to us! she thought despairingly, There's no way....

"No," she breathed, far too quietly for anyone to hear, "We will win." A surge of unexpected heat washed through her and stuck in her chest and sinuses, causing her eyes to narrow a bit in determination. Determination to succeed. Akia had never had this feeling before, being generally shy and soft-spoken, not used to standing strong in the sea of social interaction.

"Thank you so much for letting me train with you," she said, glancing at Dax, basking a bit in the euphoria of the moment, but for now back to her usual wide-eyed, timid self.

I looked over at my brother as he jumped up excitedly wanting to be trained by Dax, I smiled as he tried to hide in his fur. "Don't be ashamed. Anyone would love to have the position that you're going to fill along side Dax. I wonder if Rayo will still allow others to try and accompany him." I told my brother with a calm voice. I stood up, trying to show off my full body features to the Alphas trying to get a reaction from what they saw in my future. I looked around seeing Mother, I trotted over to her to greet her with a lick under her muzzle. I let my ears fall back so she knew I was happy to see her, I looked at her and walked back over to where my brother was. I looked over at Rayo, then I thought, where was his mate? I would love to accompany her also, she was a beautiful warrior and had fought along side us in many occasions. I looked around trying to find anyone looking for apprentices, other than my mother...I had to listen to her when I got home didn't want to through practice. I laughed a little at what I had just thought of, and wagged my tail feeling a little playful. I looked over seeing some of my sisters a little ways from the group, I perked my ears wondering what they were up to.

Admittedly, Akia was becoming nervous. Not because she had no confidence, but she found Iago's clear anxiety a bit contagious. Ears pricking she glanced around a bit boredly at the warriors, cocking her head as they spoke. Some seemed very jocular, others more serious. She didn't want someone too buoyant, she wanted someone who was perhaps even a bit solemn in personality. Not too excited or too distracted. "I can take on one or two more apprentices, if anyone would like to join me." Hearing a delicate voice Fireflight turned her head to see where the tune had come from, eyes bright when she spotted Foalan.
She recognized her as Rayo's sister, a charming female but not as recognized a warrior as Dax or Rayo. With a curious grin she flicked Iago's shoulder and gestured to the fae, offering him to follow her. Cantering over she stood erect, her gaze warm and calm.
"Ill join you. Iago you wanna come too?" she asked glancing back at him, a brow lifted.
She couldn't help but notice she had left Achilles, and giving him an apologetic look she looked back at Iago.

Achilles
Achilles felt a bit relieved that Alida seemed to take an interest in Foalan being her mentor. He didn't want to be tempted. If he had asked her to be his apprentice he would have felt that he had been using her, and he refused to accept such a corrupted concept. Though, he did feel a wisp of disappointment yet again. As she glanced at him with her radiant crimson gaze he couldn't help but smile, nodding back to her in an understanding manner. Getting to his paws he glanced around the clearing.
There were many apprentices, and few warriors. This could be problematic. Iago seemed like a good choice. He had good bloodlines, related to two of the alphas. Also because of his build he showed much potential as a warrior. However, his lack of confidence seemed an unattractive quality in a student as Achilles didn't know if he could handle having to deal with his tendencies. That one trait aside, Iago was definitely up for consideration.
Katniss was very active, and energy was a good indication of stamina. Something very useful when scouting or hunting. Alysaidir... Achilles knew very little of him. He seemed decent personality wise, and respectful and honourable enough. Finally, his gaze rested on Zephyr. He recollected he had taken an instant liking to the young male. He had a very proud and regal way of carrying himself, something Achilles respected, and was one of the few loners he'd met that didn't seem corrupted by the absence of moral value that plagued the areas that lay outside the Isket borders. Sighing in frustration at having to choose Achilles decided he'd wait around a little while longer before selecting anyone.

[ To add on to Tundra's comment, usually, there is a max of 3 apprentices per Warrior. I don't know if they can take on more, maybe under certain circumastances, but all adult Warriors have the right to have 1-3 apprentices C: ]
