Fire immediately felt terrible. "Oh, Angel, I'm so sorry," she said quietly, and pulled Angel into her side with her tail.

Angel put her head onto Fire's fur. She looked up with a tear about to fall from her muzzle.

Mason sighed, his tail swinging side to side rapidly. He looked around, feeling quite bored.

Lily growled under her breath, and advanced towards a small river close to her den. She started to lap up water. The soothing sensation was very relaxing, and helped make her throat loosen up.

Fire knew exactly how Angel felt. But she wasn't going to tell her secret...yet. "Its alright, Angel. My mommy is gone, too." she whispered softly.

Angel shook off the tear. " I miss my mommy." She said quietly. " Maybe mommy and your mommy are talking about us now." She said trying to cheer up.

Fire nodded. "I'm sure they are," she replied gently.
