The two cats walked over to the training area and stopped on one side to face Mosspaw. "Let's see your crouch, a good crouch is important for a warrior."

(oOOOoo, secret love. How delicious. ~<3)

Moonscar sat on a large rock, his tail hung over the edge, and lightly swished back and forth. His black nose was titted up towards the canopy of trees. The light of the sun filtered through them, the veins clear and their skin seemed to glow vibrantly with the life of the earth. It as rather silent today, his ears following the sound of the falling leaves that swirled down unpercieved staircases and tumbled to the ground, landing gently in the grass or beside him on his rock.

His eyes followed the sparkling sun that filtered from the trees, as if entranced. Moonscar hadalways loved nature, and others. So it was an obvious choice when he became a healer. He did question if he should have become a warrior- often honestly. If he were a warrior, he could prevent people from getting hurt, he could protect them properly. All he could do is patch up the aftermath- but then, he supposed he was usefull in that way. If someone got hurt, he was the one to come to. So he knew he was needed.

His ears fell to his head, looking away from the sky and laying down on the rock.

( hope that you don't mind this Geinkotsu but I don't have a whole lot to RP about! :))
Silverpaw couldn't find her mentor so she glanced around the camp trying to find someone to talk to. Her eyes fell on the medicine cat Moonscar. She pranced over to him hoping she wasn't disrupting what looked like a nap. "Moonscar?" she mewed when she was close to him. She gently padded onto the rock that he was laying on and prodded him with her tiny paw. "Hey Moonscar? I'm bored will you talk with me?"

(sorry for not posting sooner. Was dealing with school. And I don't mind at all.)

Moonscar heard a soft voice, his ears twitched lightly. He pushed it off as something else, having not really been paying attention in the first place. He rested his head on his paws, determined that it was nothing. But soon found himself very mistaken when he felt the soft paw of another push on his side lightly, his name clearly called as well. He rose his head to see the little apprentice standingthere beside him. He had seen her around, surely, and he found it very coincidentally how alike their fur pattern was, and she was indeed adorable. But he had never really spoke with her.

"Speak with you...??" He repeated in a questionable tone. "If you are bored, you should spend such time studying. Should you not? Besides, what what would you want me to talk about, Young One?" he inquired. She wasn't his apprentice- in fact, he had never had one. Mostly because it seemed no one would step up to being one. They all wished to fight up on the front lines. They wanted the excitement. But he found it was important to fix the aftermath so that the others were alright after those battles. So what would she possibly want to talk about from a mere medicine cat?

Silverpaw merely brushed off the comment about training by replying simply, "I can't find my mentor." She settled down next to Moonscar without really being invited. "I just wanted someone to talk to. My sister is a medicine cat in the opposite clan. Is the job hard? Have you seen her before? Is your job fun or lonely because you don't have an apprentice?" All the questions poured out before she could stop them. She lowered her head waiting to be scolded yet again about not letting him get "a word in edgewise!" She'd heard it so many times before that she new exactly what was coming.

She couldn't find her mentor? Well, that was no excuse for not training. However, he had to agree, training repeatedly without a mentor could result in bad habits in her technique that could be hard to get rid of. Though, he knew that she likely didn't think of that. Before he could say much, she had begun bombarding him with questions, not giving him a moment to even think about the questions. His icy eyes watched her calmly as suddenly the questions stopped and her head lowered, acting as if she had already been reprimended.

Moonscar nudged her lightly with his black nose, "Try to hold your tongue long enough to listen." he said, though warmly. "I cannot answer all your questions, but I can try." he said. Usually he wasn't so outwardly kind, but he had a softspot for younger ones that he could not deny. "I do not believe I have ever met your sister, for both our clans do not take kindly of eachother. You know this. As for the position, I would say it depends on the person. It could be hard for one and easy for another. Just as it is with fighting. It takes practice, and if you practice, it gets easier." He spoke. "And that is what you should be doing, Young One, is practicing." Moonscar urged. Though he highly doubted that she would get up and leave to find her teacher with just that.

Silverpaw weighed this for a moment. For one he wasn't angry at her (He even seemed not to care!) and for another he had said something very true. She new that he probably wanted her to leave and find her mentor but now she was curious. "You mean to say that your not just born with the natural ability to do what you are meant to?" She inquired and stopped before more questions could pour out. She was beginning to like Moonscar more and more. She had to venture one more question before he could think through the other one, "Do YOU enjoy being a medicine cat?"

He had to think deeply about that one- mostly because he wanted to word it right so that the young cat would not be getting the wrong ideas. One's belief was their own, and he wanted to encourage kits to follow their own beliefs, more so than what beliefs they are taught. Moonscar, however, didn't get far in his thoughts when she asked one more question. Did he enjoy being a medicine cat.

"Now, you really do have a way of building up thoughts." he started. He paused. "How about I start with your first question." he said. Moonscar closed his eyes for a moment, tail lightly batting against the ground.

"There are many theories about fate, what one person is meant to do. But we have many options, many roads to take, many destinies to fulfill. Even if they may be short. You are born with many possibilities, some are much more opportune than others. You are becoming a warrior because it is what you want to do, what you are good at- is it not? That is your choice. The choices of others, as well, will influence the path of your road, and the path of roads yet to come."

"As for your second question..." He sighed and stood up. "It is a very difficult one to answer. It would be hard for you to understand, for you are still young. But I both love and hate being a medicine cat..." Moonscar lightly walked around the edge of the rock as he spoke, eyes directed to the sky as if it held all the answers he seeked.

"I cannot protect those of our clan directly, I cannot prevent injury. I can only heal them. And even healing has it's limits at times. All I can do is either sit and wait for others to come back in need, or have someone protect me as I go where I need- for I am no fighter." Moonscar looked back at her. "But this road I chose, this path I walk, I continue through these thorns because It is needed. Because I must protect my kin and my loved ones to the best of my capability. I cannot stand seeing others get hurt, and so I will heal them. That is why I have chosen this destiny."

Blackclaw: He went to look for his apprentice, Silverpaw. Once he saw he he sighed and smiled at her "Are you ready for a hunting lession today Silverpaw?..." he nodded to Moonscar. "Hello Moonscar. Is Silverpaw keeping you in good company?" he asked, amused with a flick of his black tail.

Moonscar looked up as he heard the sound of air pass from another's lips. His gaze settled on Blackclaw- Silverpaw's teacher. He lightly jumped off the rock, "She has quite the active mind." he replied simply to him.
