He had to think deeply about that one- mostly because he wanted to word it right so that the young cat would not be getting the wrong ideas. One's belief was their own, and he wanted to encourage kits to follow their own beliefs, more so than what beliefs they are taught. Moonscar, however, didn't get far in his thoughts when she asked one more question. Did he enjoy being a medicine cat.
"Now, you really do have a way of building up thoughts." he started. He paused. "How about I start with your first question." he said. Moonscar closed his eyes for a moment, tail lightly batting against the ground.
"There are many theories about fate, what one person is meant to do. But we have many options, many roads to take, many destinies to fulfill. Even if they may be short. You are born with many possibilities, some are much more opportune than others. You are becoming a warrior because it is what you want to do, what you are good at- is it not? That is your choice. The choices of others, as well, will influence the path of your road, and the path of roads yet to come."
"As for your second question..." He sighed and stood up. "It is a very difficult one to answer. It would be hard for you to understand, for you are still young. But I both love and hate being a medicine cat..." Moonscar lightly walked around the edge of the rock as he spoke, eyes directed to the sky as if it held all the answers he seeked.
"I cannot protect those of our clan directly, I cannot prevent injury. I can only heal them. And even healing has it's limits at times. All I can do is either sit and wait for others to come back in need, or have someone protect me as I go where I need- for I am no fighter." Moonscar looked back at her. "But this road I chose, this path I walk, I continue through these thorns because It is needed. Because I must protect my kin and my loved ones to the best of my capability. I cannot stand seeing others get hurt, and so I will heal them. That is why I have chosen this destiny."
