Arctic was on her belly slinking slowly towards a young doe that had wandered too far from her herd,Arctics blue eyes gleamed.Her mouth watered at the thought of sinking her fangs into the soft warm flesh.She lunged forwards and grasped the does hind legs in her jaws.The doe gave a startled almost strangled cry and struggled to escape the she wolfs grip.An angry bellow made her let go of her prize.Her eyes grew wide with alarm as the lead stag appeared to rescue his mate.She dived to the side just as sharp hooves crashed onto the very space she had been on a minute ago. The stag snorted and swung its magnificent antlers at Arctic.She let out a howl of pain as a tine pierced her flanks. Staggering backwards she reared onto her hind paws and turned to run off.The stag snorted and butted her in the other direction sharply causing her to stumble.She gave a startled yelp and scrambled to her paws running as fast as she could before the stag could attack again
