The Savannah wind blew across the lioness' face, serenely blowing the tall grass and wiping her short, sandy fur across her face. Miukii lay, her head upon her paws, her fangs glimmering as she snored, not a care in the world except the one to find a mate and start a pride with him. But still, that dream seemed far, far away.
Never had she thought that one mere leopard would be her arch-enemy, and although she was sorry, she never appolagized, and her stubborness always got the better of her. Miukii felt the twinge of the grass, pricking her chest as it rose and fell, and her eyes slowly opened, warm, bright, and amber. A gentle, caramel twinge slowly flooded through her iris as the sun reflected off, bringing her pupils to reptile slits.
Narrowly, the beautiful lioness cascaded herself up, and stretched, her fur glistening as the sunlight rained down on her. She sniffed the air warmly, and slowly, she rose out of the shade. She looked around, and then padded toward the distance. She could smell water there.
As she neared the watering hole, she could see two figures, blurry in the distance. Gylfie and Niko were talking - but she didn't know who they even were, and rudely ignored them after flashing stares. Her long, rough, pink tongue dipped into the cool water, and she lapped it up, gulping down massive amounts. She was close to the Hunting Grounds, closing in, she lay down to watch anything that came through. Her scents bounded in the other direction as the wind blew onto her.
The lioness was very far away from the Lion's area - she figured that at this time of day most male lions were hunting. She lounged, her tail dipping into the cool water as she licked her fur. Her eyes suddenly locked onto an old, slow, plump male antelope that galloped past. The rest of the herd followed quickly.
Miukii crouched into a hunting position, her eyes glaring at the hooves, and suddenly, she ran. The antelope scattered, leaving the large, old male, the last one to notice, scarily running, quicker and quicker. Miukii flared out her paws, tripping him up, fur flying, sand flurrying into the air. At a crunch of his bones, he was dead, but she still grasped on tight, swallowing the large mouthful of blood she had not managed to catch from the kill. As she crawled over the antelope, she managed to snap his weak spine, and broke into his neck one more time before letting go and protectively roaring to say she was in the area, and she was not friendly.
Miukii looked around cautiously, panting and breathing in before she hooked her teeth around it tightly, and dragged it toward a tree. She stayed in the shade, scenting the air and looking for any signs of males before she ripped her claws into the stomach, and eating, blood dripping down her vicious maw as she ate her fill.
