Warriors of Pure Heart (Warrior Cat RP)

Soulstar heard something move. Pricking up his ears, Soulstar saw the warrior, Iceflare. She was almost a loner in her own Clan, but she was a good, loyal warrior, and Soulstar respected her. He waved his tail in greeting to her and wondered if she noticed. He himself took a drink from the river, taking in deep gulps of water as the ice-cold liquid soothed his parched throat.

{Sorry, not prophecy, I meant to put warning. So, would anyone on here like to role-play the cat, Ryou? It would mean more character interaction, and make it easier on me. But, if no one wants to, then I'll do it myself.}

She stood up slowly, planning on going to her favorite place to rest. A small cave she had discovered as an apprentice. She could picture it in her mind perfectly. The day she found the cave, and the day she found him.

SmokeyPaw wandered through the forest, scenting the air for any sign of prey, but, as usual, smelled nothing. She had went farther from camp than she had intented to go, but it mattered little to her. She had nothing better to do. She found a small patch of moss, surrounded by ferns to lie down in, and settled herself in it, letting her head fall backwards, her eyes closed. She sighed blissfully, re-opening her eyes after a moment. She yowled in surprise, leaping up from her place on the moss to find a young tom, around her age, standing behind her make-shift nest. His face had been leat over hers, his eyes staring down at her. "Who are you?" She had hissed cautiously, and he had replied: Ryou. She had asked him about his clan, which confused him, his leader, which confused him even more. She told him all about clan-life, the fun of being an apprentice, and becoming a warrior. She told him how she wanted to one day become leader, and he had listened intently to every word. He ha shown her the cave, behind a wall of ferns, and lichen, where he made his home. She had played with him until sun-down, until she had to return to camp.

Even now, at every half-moon, she met him, and shared news. That was where she was headed now, to speak with her best friend. The only cat who could look past her blindness.

Iceflare inclined her head slightly toward Soulstar, flicking the tip of her tail in recognition. Though she didn't know him all to well (nor did she know any cat very well), she thought him a suitable enough leader. She was about to keep on going, pricking her ears for signs of prey, when she suddenly stopped in her tracks, mulling over her thoughts. The clan was yet to have a deputy - perhaps if she was to get a better reputation within the clan, she would have a better chance of getting the rank when the time came to choose one. It was a bit wicked over her, yes, as she'd be almost using Soulstar, but at the same time she had to remind herself it would be better in the first place to get some friends in her own clan.
"Soulstar!" she called out, turning around and trotting back toward him, her chin held high despite her funny-looking wet fur and her icy eyes glinting in the mid-afternoon sun. "Would you like to take a walk with me?"

"Sure," Soulstar replied evenly, feeling confused. Shaking the water from his muzzle, he gracefully rose from his resting position while he was taking a drink. His dark tabby pelt was handsome and shiny and his eyes were bright with curiousity, hazel in the sunlight. "I wonder about the deputy, sometimes. Thornclaw died when there was no one suitable to take his place, so Star Clan allowed the wait. Now, Smokyeye as well as you are two fine warriors. But, Thornclaw came to me in a dream saying that the deputy would come and I would know when the deputy would come. I have no idea how I will know, only that I trust my old friend. How I miss him so," Soulstar's eyes were saddened as he thought of his old friend, Thornclaw, who was now in Star Clan.

Iceflare nodded silently, remembering the highly respected warrior. "He still lives," she assured her leader gently, blinking her eyes slowly, "Just in a different place." She waited for a while, allowing a moment of silence, before turning around, flicking her tail across Soulstar's ear. "Now, come on. We can't wait all day." Though Iceflare was just doing this for a better chance at deputy, she really did enjoy her walks. xD

"No,how about you?" Cherrypaw purred. "It'll be fair because I already have a mouse." Her green eyes looked joyfully at Eaglepaw.

Soulstar was a little touched by Iceflare. She was never this.... open before. Padding side by side, Soulstar followed Iceflare, wondering if she had an ulterior motive for this walk.

{I had planned on making a form, but I was hoping someone else could role-play as him. I will do it if no one else wants to, but it would be easier for someone else to do it.
