Soulstar smiled at Cherrypaw, saying, "Let's try the front paw strike. You strike your opponent in the face, or body, and then you rake your claws down fast. It looks like this," Soulstar unsheathed his claws and fiercely lashed out, flicking his paw down as if clawing an imaginary warrior's face. "Would you like to try? Just pretend that there is an enemy there and practice the front paw strike."

Cherrypaw stood up and listened to every word Soulstar said. She nodded when he finished speaking and unsheathed her claws,just like Soulstar had did,and clawed the air. She pretended there was another cat from another clan. "Like that?" she meowed,looking up to him.

"Yes!" Soulstar purred with praise. "That's wonderful!"

Cherrypaw's eyes lit up,and purred with pride. "Thank you,Soulstar! Will I learn anymore?" she meowed,licking one sand-colored paw.

"Try the move on me, but with your claws sheathed!" Soulstar said, his muscles tensed as he prepared for the attack.

{Thanks, and, no, I don't think Eaglepaw should be a medicine cat apprentice, so I will keep him as SmokeyEye's apprentice. Okay about the prophecy though. =) }

SmokeyEye

She emerged from the warrior's den, blinking the mid-day sunlight out of her eyes. She knew it was late, but she had been hunting during the night, and needed some extra sleep. She yawned with a stretch, her blue eyes reflecting the sun's gleam. She walked into the center of camp, her tail waving gracefully behind her as she walked. She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws, and gazed around camp. Everything seemed so empty without ThornClaw around. She sighed. She had always thought of the tabby tom as a friend, one of her only friends, and now he was gone.

Eaglepaw

The young tom was out and about in the woods, chasing a butterfly that had fluttered through camp earlier. She stomped through the trees, probably frightening off any prey for miles, but he was carefree, and didn't even notice how loud he was being. All that mattered at that moment, was capturing that butterfly.

"Okay,Soulstar," Cherrypaw meowed back. She looked slightly at her mentor and did the same.

((Heyo! Runningdawn! How's it going? Meh, sometimes I really hate making forms. xD))

Thornclaw watched from the skies of Star Clan as he saw his good friend, Smokeyeye, yawn and leave her den. He sensed a heat wave coming, a giant drought that would make the forest dry and parched, thirsty for water. He should warn them, in a dream somehow, and he got up, his muscular body tense with worry for the forest's health. Thornclaw lay down under a tree in Star Clan and closed his eyes. His spirit walked out of Star Clan's skies and padded down to Smokeyeye. She wasn't sleeping though, and it wouldn't work. But, he didn't always have to visit in dreams. This was okay.
"Smokeyeye!" he called in his rough, powerful voice. "I carry a warning from Star Clan. There is a drought coming, a huge heat wave that will rid the forest of any kind of moisture. There is nothing a cat could do except hang on through the heat wave. I just wanted to warn you so you would be prepared, good friend. I miss you dearly, and be prepared for the storm that follows the drought."

As Aspenleaf finished organizing her herbs, she saw the spirit of Thornclaw, the former deputy, talking to Smokeyeye. Leaping forward, she called out to Thornclaw's spirit.
"Aspenleaf!" Thornclaw purred. "I bring not a prophecy, but a warning of a drought, a heat wave, and the storm that follows every drought. Fear not, for tough cats like you will survive. However, I thought it would be nice to give you fair warning. I need to leave now. Farewell, friends." Thornclaw stepped back into the sky, leaving a trail of stars behind.

Soulstar sidestepped Cherrypaw's move and grasped her scruff easily. He gave her a gentle shake, hoping to disorienate her, but not too much.
