"I was lucky enough to escape that fate. Instead.." he lashed out at the thought, gnashing his teeth at the ground.

Bandit went quiet. "That's why I want to join a pack." He said finally, "So we'll all be safe from the humans. We could protect each other. Isn't that how a pack works?"

Coya jumped at his sudden movement, then sighed, "I don't know what your past was like. That's one of the things we haven't been able to discuss." She turned to Bandit, "I don't know. I've never been in one before I met Shalom. It seems I'm not really pack quality though..."
