April Gathering (ThunderClan Fire and Water, private)

Snowflake snarled and lashed out as a warning to him, but as she did she laid weight on her wounded leg and she hissed in pain. She soon got herself together again and crouched, making sure her back wasn't an easy target. By instinct she knew that if she exposed her back, she would easily be attacked and possibly be taken down. She growled angrily at Stoneclaw, moving around. She wasn't afraid of him, and she unsheated her claws, ready for a battle.

Stoneclaw chuckled at her warning but refrained from lashing back at her. He would follow the will of StarClan and wait until he as told to attack. Surely the full moon truce didn't apply to SkullClan cats? Afterall, they weren't true Clan cats. He walked around her, and leaned down to whisper in her ear. "If you're smart, you won't attack. If you attack, you'll never see the light of day again, nor will you see your precious clanmates. Even your leader, Snatcher. You'll never see him again." His whisper held a trace of a snarl, and his claws once again sunk into the ground.

Snowflake growled at him. She dearly wanted to use her claws, and tear at his fur. But it was as he said, it wouldn't be wise to attack now. She felt rather lost, the clan cats surrounding the cats from Skullclan. Snatcher... Oh, how she had messed up the mission. She regretted going on the mission, if she had kept away they would have succeeded. The thought of never seeing him or her clan mates was unbearable, so she stood her ground. She narrowed her eyes slightly, but didn't say anything as a reply. Instead she calmed herself down, knowing it was no use showing that she was scared. She began backing, and looked around her. Maybe there was a gap, somewhere she could escape?

[Keriae]

Stoneclaw chuckled. "You think you can escape? All the Clan cats here know you are here now. You'll have no chance. If you try, you will die. If you stay here, we might let you live. However, the chances are that you'll die."

Snowflake twicthed her whiskers again, annoyed by the toms arrogance. "Well, if we might die if we stay, why don't we try escaping?" she said softly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. She enjoyed teasing this clan cat, even though she was in a rather... Uncomfortable situation. She couldn't flee either, if she did she would have to leave Sparrow behind, and they would either use her as a prisoner to make her clan do as they wanted, or Sparrow would be killed at once. She sighed, her mind whirling. Should she take the chance? Leap over the clan cats heads and dash for freedom? It would be worth trying... She shook her head and examined the cats surrounding them. Maybe she could find a gap somewhere?

Stoneclaw smirked. "You will still die." He sat back down, waiting for her to try and escape.

Snowflake hissed. She noticed a slight gap between two warriors. If she could just leap above them... Then she could have a chance to flee. Then she could run back to the camp and warn Snatcher. She sighed. But then she would lead the battle right back to her home. She didn't have a clue what to do. The clan cats surely was heartless. She silently thought to herself. Killing at a gathering, what will be the next? She flattened her fur and sat down for a moment, judging her chances. Suddenly she got up and dashed through the gap, before any warrior could react she made a dash for it through the forest, trying to run so it would be hard to get to her. She leaped through a bush, and saw the ground on the other side vanish as she was in mid air. She had ended up on the wrong side of the island, and had jumped straight into the lake. She let out a yowl of surprise, before she broke the surface and plunged down into the cold water.

Stoneclaw jumped a little when Snowflake started to run, but darted after her, enjoying the wind in his fur. His claws were unsheathed shining in the moonlight. The gray tom skidded to a halt at the edge of the island, watched his foe flouder in the lake. Good riddance. He thought, and turned away. "Have a nice swim!" He sneered, his tail waving in satisfaction as the SkullClan cat began to drown, sheathing his claws and walking away, back to his leader.

Littlestreak had heard the splash, and dived, swimming as fast as she could in the murky brown water to reach the cat. The cream SkullClan cat guessed it was Snowflake, because she saw a ThunderClan cat stalk away, his teeth bared in pleasure. She began to move her paws frantically, breaking the surface often to try and see her clanmate. She dived once more, and saw a white blob. It had to be Snowflake! She moved as fast as she could, grabbing the cat in her jaws and switching direction, reached the surface of the water. With her pelt plastered to her body and head, she began to swim to the shore, Snowflake half floating next her her like a dead weight.

Snowflake barely heard Stoneclaws words, and her body had been shocked by the icy water. She thought she would die for sure, especially when she saw a whiteish, blurry cat shape coming towards her. She let her breath out and she closed her eyes, preprared to follow the Starclan warrior. She got a drowning feeling, her throat tightening as she couldn't breathe. Then she felt her weight be lifted, before she fainted. When she woke up, she managed to breathe, but her chest hurt terribly. She saw the stars above her, not realizing that she was floating on her back before she suddenly noticed Littlestreak's movements beside her. "Littlestreak..?" she rasped, then she coughed up some water. How much water had she swallowed?

[Keriae]

Littlestreak hushed her with a purr. "Shh... Rest yourself. We're nearly at the shore. They don't know that we've escaped this way. They think that you've drowned." She whispered through her clanmates fur, and her paws hit pebbles. She began to drag Snowflake up higher onto the shore, and lay down beside her feeling weak and shivering with cold.
