Larry lifts his head to watch them go. "Be careful..." he says, more of mumble than actual words of caution. I hope they find something. Larry thinks, and looks back up at the window sill. It's really not that difficult of a jump, but he is afraid he would never make it through the small-ish opening, even though he took out much of the glass on his way out just a little while ago. The thought of having to haul his acing body through there makes him grimace. Larry sighs, and puts his head back down on his paws to wait.

Wendy nosed Larry, then bounded off, racing towards the opposite side of the house. She called out to Soul, "Come on!"

Now, Faith noticed how bony Miles was. She didn't mention it, and took a bite the same size as Miles'. It tasted good. Juicy and soft. something you couldn't get with humans polluting the world.

((I wasn't sure if you didn't see this or couldn't think of something... but I believe you haven't replied to this yet. ^^))

Soul bounded after her " coming! " she called.

Miles glanced over, trying to think of something to say. He wasn't good at communitcation, or conversation. Generally, he wasn't good at anything social. "So...um....." He coughed, unsure of what to say. "Do you think there's a cure for this....disease?"

Wendy Lou snuffled around, coming to a door, half open. "Let's try this," she called out to Soul.

Faith glanced up at his face before she replied, sliding the rabbit towards him.
"I am... doubtful of one," she sighed, and quickly added, "But hopeful,"
Her tail swished slowly and unsteadily. She yawned and blinked her eyes. She almost, just almost, wished humans were still here. Even if they did pollute the world with their fancy vehicles and scare animals, some were nice. Like vets, they were nice. She remembered once when she was a puppy, and her owners (who were one of the first to die of the human's disease) took her to the veterinarian. She had an infection in her eye, and the vet was real gentle with helping her. It didn't even hurt. She remembered the vet saying that, if she hadn't gotten taken care of fast enough, she would have been completely blind in both eyes.
Humans would also know what to do about this disease. They were smart and had machines. They could do lots of stuff. She left her memories with a wistful desire.

Miles nodded his brindle head. "I think you're right to think there is no cure. I mean, from the way you speak of it." He gave a slight grin.

Faith replied with a halfhearted smirk. She wondered if Miles had ever had an owner. Did he ever wish for humans like she did? Faith thought it was stupid to ask. Miles could just say it if he wanted to.

Miles noticed she seemed to have something on her mind. "Uh....peny for your thoughts?" He woofed softly, hoping that was how it was said. He always got things messed up.

"I don't think you have any pennies," Faith snickered, "But yeah... I do have some... thoughts about this,"
She sighed, and shuffled her paws, "Did you ever have owners?"
