The Heat of The Ice (1x1 rp)

Postby geinkotsu » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:00 am

This is for me and Teacup- sorry to anyone else who wishes to join.

Strange fur markings, unrealistic fur collors, human items, extentsions (wings, two tails horns), powers, etc are acceptable. The main idea of the rp is living in a frozen tundra and trying to survive and/or leave the place and find a perfect oasis. Format can be as detailed as you want, just be sure to have the basics of it all (Personality, name, appearance, etc)

Seven- Sev ♀

Image

Name- Seven
Nickname- Sev
Age- 24 in human years
Gender- Female
Mate- Open
Offspring- Open
History- Seven was born to an abusive father. Her mother was generally cold to her, so she never actually had a close bond with either of her parents. When she was old enough to keep herself stable, she left her home hoping to find somewhere she could rest in peace. She’s generally in her cozy den sleeping, though she does go out to do her normal daily routine.
Personality- Seven is basically a reflection of where she grew up. She’s cold to others and can have violent mood swings if someone ticks her off. She’s not a nice girl at all. She has her moments of complete calmness, but she is hostile to others near her territory. She’s territorial and if she has her paws around something she’s not going to give it up easily. Almost selfish really. She never attacks with full on force. She’ll first try to scare them off and then just leave it there. She tends to hang questions in the open and ignore them if she doesn’t want to answer it.
Weapon Of Choice- Her claws and teeth.
Special Ability/Power- Somehow she developed a power that allows her to not feel pain, though she can't heal herself. She also can't die unless she dies from a natural cause. If she's sick, she is capable of dieing just because whenever she gets sick she's hit harder than other wolves would be.
Weakness/Fear- Her biggest weakness is probably the way she shuts down around a male larger than her. Her biggest fear is the way she never fully trusts someone. It takes a few months, maybe even years.

Seven - Sev ♀

The small female was in her den; the usual place for her. She had a routine to keep and she wasn’t content about breaking it. Here in the arctic you couldn’t exactly tell if you would have a sun or not, but the she-wolf was in luck. Today was the break of warmer weather. With the warmer weather came an opportunity for pups. Though she wasn’t exactly keen on the idea, she would have to let a male in one of these years. She wasn’t going to get any younger.

The female, referred to as Seven, wasn’t one of the wolves that drooled over romance. In fact, she would have rather chosen a nice, strong male and not talked to them unless she needed to. She was stubborn. If the male had gone hunting, she wouldn’t eat. She would much rather stick to her own hunting which was probably a good idea. You see, Seven had developed a special diet for her body. The more routine everything was, the less chance of her getting sick. Her body had grown accustomed to her diet of hare and the occasional baby elk.

She exited her den, light illuminating her two different colored eyes. Blinking away the glare, she made sure to look around before fully leaving the safety of her den. Her stubbed tail never wagged nor did her lips pull back into a smile. She wasn’t ever really happy. She had no reason to be. The simple solution was to let her tongue hang from her jaws. That was enough signs anyone would get of her being comfortable with her surroundings. If she happened to encounter a larger male, though, oh there would be hell going through the little female’s mind.

The day was brighter than usual, the clouds were very soft and lazily floated in the sky. A soft powder falling from the skies very lazily. You could see all the glaciers and the ice through it, usually you could not see past your nose and the sky was dark. Spring was here, which offered nicer weather. But the best weather was in the summer when the sun was bright and snow was sometimes little. Which just left the ice and what snow was left on the ground. The sun was blue past those light gray clouds, the beams of the sun beating down and warming the fur of the wolf that walked across the snow-covered ice.

His red tipped paws shuffled the deep snow that reached halfway up his legs. He didn’t bother leaping through it like most, finding it expended energy. Plus, he was on a hunt for himself. Such weather was best for hunting. And he had not eaten in the past few days. His shaggy fur was almost perfectly groomed, but the odd thing was the pattern. The main colors were a dark grey and a crimson red, which was odd for most artic wolves. And the bright white blotches over his coat and the white that occupied his mane was almost perfectly coordinated. His blue eyes gazed at his surroundings as he slowly stalked low to the snow. His white tipped ears and white mane hiding him fairly good in the snow.

He could smell it… A polar bear! Perfect for eating latter if it was big enough. But if it was too big, then he would have to find something else. He was no idiot. Orphius’s nostrils flared gently as he took in the smell, his nose covered in white snow. He stalked closer to the moving white thing not too far away. He couldn’t tell the size just yet. It seemed like a cub from here. He slowly moved closer, trying to be very quiet. But it was hard when struggling through this deep snow, which hindered his maneuverability.

As soon as Orphius got close, he pounced out of the snow, his mane bristling in the wind of the short jump and his tail flowing. He tackled the animal, going for the scruff as the two battled in the snow. Turned out, it wasn’t a cub! It’s claws swiped at him and he was tossed into the snow, the growl of the bear coming to his ears. He wiggled in the snow and got up, pouncing out of the hole and swiftly retreating. He leapt through the snow rather gracefully, almost running through it. As soon as he got to some flatter land, he stopped and looked back. Some bad luck… He didn’t really have a place of his own to go back to- he usually slept in the snow anyways. Orphius stared across the frozen tundra in hopes to see a rabbit or something deciding to come out into the warmer air.

Seven - Sev ♀

Seven was excited for the first time in a while. Today was the morning where she could actually hunt elk. They had already bred and calves were being born every day. Until she heard it. Her keen ears could pick up on the crunching of snow. Then everything fell silent. Out of the blue, an angry cry of a polar shattered the female’s ear drums. A shiver ran down her spine as she took another check. She usually didn’t smell the air just because wolves would be able to smell the stench of her within this area.

Seven had always been territorial, not wanting anyone or anything to touch her place. Her lips slowly curled back to show case her pearl-white daggers. This day wasn’t one she was so excited about anymore. It had all been drained at the sound of the crunching snow. Finally decided her stink wouldn’t be enough, she raised her nose to the air and took in a deep breath. There definitely was a wolf, though she was unsure of the sex of the creature. Usually she would avoid conflict with wolves she couldn’t see, but this scent had caught her curiosity. It smelled of a mixture of wolf and blood.

As she stepped out into the snow, her paws melted the snow leaving a series of soft paw prints. Hackles raised and ears back, she hesitated to cover her teeth with her lips, though her mind eventually persuaded her. She wasn’t the most confident wolf in the world, but hopefully she would be confident enough to deliver a bite to this invading wolf. Slowly she made her way farther into the unknown, uncomfortable about being away from her den. It was her safe zone, a place where she could lose herself in thoughts and dreams.

Seven closed her eyes before she jumped out into the unknown open. She didn’t want to, but eventually she slowly revealed her oddly colored eyes. It was a male. A…male. Eyes rolling into the back of her head, she fainted and fell to the ground in a heap of blue, black and white fur.

Orphius had found himself at a loss. He couldn’t see anything able to hunt just yet, and that polar bear had nicked him on the maw. His tongue curled around is lips, licking it a bit. But not much. Well, that hurt. He decided it would be best to leave it for now, let it heal on it’s own. He stood tall, head high as he watched the area for anything, something. A sound came to his ears, and one of them turned a bit. The sound of the snow being disturbed caught his ears, and soon the smell of another wolf close by. He had not noticed the close-by territory of this wolf until now. Usually he did not bother others, considering they were usually isolated and liked their privacy, or they had pups and didn’t want any bad influences.

He turned his head as he heard the sudden loud crunch of snow to see a furry black and white thing hit the snow. Orphius lowered his head a bit, sniffing the air, before raising his head again and slowly walking over to the wolf and looking down at her. Did she… faint? Really? That was strange. Orphius raised his head a little, but found no one else. As odd as a moment as this was, he could not simply leave her for food for another. He used his nose and shoveled a bit of snow on her face, the cold likely to wake her up. If not that, he was going to have to do something more drastic- like drag her out of sight and somewhere safer until she woke up.

Right now, options were flooding his head. Option number one was ruled out, he was too nice to leave her here on her own. But he also wasn’t too much of a social person, and was a bit too hungry to care. Perhaps she would go about her own business after she woke up. But there was the possibility of her fainting again. Why did she faint in the first place anyways? It was strange and just plain weird to faint for no reason like that. Maybe she hadn’t drank or eaten anything in a while?

Seven - Sev ♀

Seven felt the cold sting her face and after a moment of it sitting there her head finally jolted upward, clashing paths with another head, “Ow! Hey, watch it!” When she opened her eyes after rubbing her head with her paw, she realized it was a male and scrambled to her feet, jumping backward with her teeth bared. “Don’t come any closer!” she barked, blinking her eyes rapidly to keep the tears back. She wasn’t great with males larger than her and, if he stepped closer, she would probably faint again. Somehow, in some odd way, every male she saw reminded her of her father.

The original source of her scar was from her father. She had refused to do something for him and she slashed at her eye. Though she never became blind, she was left with a scar for the rest of her life. Her small figure shook wildly as she stared at him, ears back against her head. She wasn’t fond of this situation. Being around such a large male scared her to death. He had to tower over her by a foot or so. Though he scared her, he shared the same odd coat pattern. He was dressed in a blood red, flat black, and snow white suit. Not to mention his wildly colored eyes.

Orphius winced when she suddenly flailed and hit his head with her skull. He shook his head lightly, the dull ache fading away after a moment. He looked up at her to see she had jumped a ways back and was standing in a fighting stance, demanding he not come closer to her. Orphius raised his head all the way, straitening his back. He didn’t express anger at her for being so brash, because it was often a lot of people were like that. And, this was, after all, her territory. He supposed it was only fair he listened to her request- if one could call it that.

He slowly turned, his tail flowing about, he turned his head to her, gazing at her over his shoulder. “If that is what you wish.” he replied rather formally. Orphius wasn’t one to intrude on other wolves, and he wasn’t a mean wolf either. But he wasn’t a push over if you decided to start a fight with him. Luckily, he found this was no fight, and decided to leave. So, he set his sights forward and walked, stepping over the flat surface and jumped off the small slope into the snow. He needed food anyways… so it was best not to linger. He just hoped she didn’t faint again and get eaten while she was blacked out.

Seven - Sev ♀

Seven’s eyes grew when he suddenly turned and left. Why had he left? Was she unattractive? She smelled herself, drawing back her nose quickly, “Eh, god, I need a bath!” She was, however, curious as to why he had suddenly left when she said so. So, with that, she began to follow his paws prints, leaving behind her own trail of unmistakable wolf trail. He must have wanted to hunt, because the trails seemed to be leading her toward hunting grounds. Well, grounds that smelled strongly of prey.

Seven was aware of what she was doing being sneaky and probably not preferred by the wolf, but she didn’t quite care. The only thing she wanted to know was why he had left her so suddenly. Maybe she was unattractive… Too bad her rare curiosity had taken her attention. She could possibly get sick. The disease would instantly multiply by 10 within her body. She was risking it, though. A rather stupid idea in her eyes.
