Riley found Dixie digging a hole. She padded up behind her and bit her thigh sternly "you should be ashamed of yourself!" she growled. "hurting Jerome's feelings and making him not welcome... I believe your jelousy has gotten way out of hand:" she barked.

Dixie looked at Riley. She kept her stare "me? He broke Alex's window..." she said.

Riley looked at her "still that doesnt give you a right to hurt his feelings.... And besides by the way he acts and tends for himself, shows me that he's been on his own for a while... That gives him a greater reason why he liked Alex... She understood him..... But when you said what you said you made him run away.... Alex must be so sad...." she said, shaking her head "your gonna have to fix this yourself Dixie...." she added as she padded off.

Jerome got off of her. "Either get out of here or suffer the consequences." he growled under his breath, dashing off again.

"never said YOUR LIFE WAS EASY"she kicked him off and stood and snarled "i use to have an owner but i got caught in a bear trap and he left me to DIE you think my lifes easy"a tear fell down her face "MY PARENTS AND FRIENDS WERE KILLED INFRONT OF ME YOU THINK IVE HAD IT EASIER OR HARDER THAN YOU"

fire started to walk around. pleased by his own progress he whinnied. "look mamma! look!" it felt different having to keep one of his legs straight but he was ok

Jerome ignored every word she said. He finally decided he was as far away as he was going to get from the barn. He sniffed the ground until he came to fresh deer tracks. He stalked quietly in the snow, and then sprang at the camouflaged animal. Not even seeing where it was until it started to dash away, he darted after it, going top speed without hesitation. Going slightly slower, he tripped on a log and tumbled, slamming down on his side, instantly getting knocked out.

As Jerome lay there in the snow, unable to control or move his body, he wondered if death would be a punishment suitable for what he has done. He remembered Alex and how kind she was to him. She had helped him when he was in need, and he thanked her by doing the greatest mistake he could have ever done; gotten on one of her dog's bad side. He wondered if Riley was right, her bark was bigger than her bite. Even though he wasn't even close to scared of her, he wondered if she was telling the truth or just trying to lure him back. He pushed it out of his mind, and focused on waking up.

_C.J. trotted up two the two females, his usual swagger returning to his step. "And how are you two lovely ladies fairing on this fire-haunted night?"

_Eowyn looked up and kissed Jake. "You should stay with me to tonight so we can go look for Skye early in the morning."

_Day leaned into Rio and sighed, happy that her home was safe.

((( from what I understand.... There has been horse rustlers who have been catching wild horse's..... Riders are heading back to the barn.... My charrie Skye is lost and she has been found by a fireman and is being taken back to the station to get cleaned up and try to find her owner..... Ummm the barn isn't hurt from my knowledge.... I guess that's it...))
