As the new moon descended over the mountainous territory of Summitclan, something wicked their way came.
Seven cats who had been wandering the endless and vast plains of Starclan have found themselves suddenly alive
once more -and they've woken up at the edge of the clan's border. Some cats have been among the stars for gene
rations, others have not had the chance to truly make their nests in SIlverpelt. Dazed and confused, the cats wan
der back to their clan - and as their wide-eyed kin looked upon them with a mixture of joy and disbelief, a chill
chased down nearly every cat's spine. There were no omens, not a word of this event was spoken of to the medic
ine cat; Starclan has seemed to have given Summitclan an immense gift.

But in their wake, death will follow.

A few of these cats have come back from the Dark Forest - and unbeknownst to them, they've brought back an
invisible monster - a sickness capable of wiping out an entire clan. They have named it Nightcough, as all the
cats who have seemed to fall ill have lost their life shortly after moonhigh. It comes with a terribly high fever and
a painful, bellowing cough. It seems to drain the life of the cat second by second, until their heart goes still in
their chest.

The medicine cat has received a prophecy; the cats who have returned from Starclan are to ho on a harrowing
journey in order to find a precious berry that grows high on the mountain tops - it is the only cure for Nightcough
and the fate of the clan rests in The Returned's paws.

ABOUT SUMMITCLAN

summitclan lives at the bottom of a towering mountain, within a luscious forest that has
a bounty of prey. these cats are skilled hunters and trackers and have no neighboring clans
that they've had to contend with since their founder, Summitstar formed the clan nearly
ten generations ago. the clan hunts mostly hare, squirrel, and the beaver from the nearby
river that twists around the mountain. the leaf-bares are harsh, but these hardy cats know
how to survive the unforgiving chill of the mountain's wrath and storms. they are incredibly
religious and have immense faith in starclan. their bonds are tight and the cats consider all
of their clanmates family, regardless if they share blood or not. personal bonds are very crucial
to these cats' every day lives. a lot of warriors are broad shouldered and quite strong and they
tend to have fluffy pelts, due to the climate they live in. outsiders are openly welcome and
encouraged to join their ranks - summitclan accepts those in need without condition.

current event: the cats who have returned from the dead have been there for one moon. a few
cats have fallen ill with Nightcough. the first death has just occured - the elder, Barkmouth has
passed away just a few days prior. the clan is shaken by this - barkmouth was a very beloved cat
and is the relative of several living cats in the clan.
