✗✗✗Welcome to the world of Griffins and Dragons, the Wings of War. Through many rough moons, the two Griffin Tribes have lived peacefully enough, although quarrels always remain unsettled. The Dragon Pack by the name of Bone wants to take advantage of these tribes. Will the tribes give in to the Dragons, or will they unite their tribes to rid the Dragons for once and for all?✗✗✗
Intro:
The world you may decide to delve into is unlike our own. These creatures, both griffins and dragons have their goals in lives, being more advanced in intelligence than most creatures. But Griffins and Dragons do not mix. Although their goals in life both revolve around treasures of gold and silver, their lifestyles differ greatly. The griffins live in a civilized manner, in an orderly tribe. Things work perfect to the kink, according to age old rules and traditions, as long as the other Griffin Tribe does not interrupt. The dragons live in a a pack, although in a dog eat dog like world. They live in chaos, and bring it along with them wherever they go. They look for treasure, and will go to any length to get it. They live in a dictatorship, and follow their leader to most of every extent. They're brutal and fierce and destroy anything in their way.
The Way of the Griffin:
Both Tribes of the griffins are similar and follow the same traditions for the most part but their differences can never be settled and thus they quarrel amongst themselves, if they ever get near each other for that matter.
Griffins are magical creatures who are best known for their knowledge, wisdom, strength, and honor. They have the legs of a lion, the ears of a lion (although they are longer and typically closer resembling a horse's ear), the tail of a lion, the head of an eagle, and the wings of an eagle. Griffins live by the Code of Honor. Griffins mature quickly usually maturing around four years of age, until then they are called grifflets.
The griffins that you are about to deal with are bit different. They truly live up to the status of being a magical creature. These griffins are born with a power of one of the four magical elements. Depending on which element rages within them, they are chosen to be appropriately apprenticed to either be a Hunter, a Scout, a Healer, or a Warrior. A grifflet with the elemental power of fire would be normally assigned as a hunter apprentice. A grifflet with the elemental power of air would be assigned as a scout apprentice. A grifflet with the rare elemental of water would be assigned as a healer apprentice. A grifflet with the elemental power of ground would be assigned as a warrior apprentice. From around the age of four to six years of age, they are called griffors and train as apprentices until they turn seven years of age, in which case they become true griffins, and work as no longer apprentices but normal hunters, scouts, healers, or warriors. The Chief of a certain job, such as a Scout Chief, would be in charge of all the normal Scouts who are responsible for the Scout apprentices. Each job has a goal to fulfill.
Scouts (Air) - Search the skies for treasures, injured griffins, intruders, and act as messengers.
Healers (Water) - Use herbs, and their own powers for healing.
Hunters (Fire) - Find, kill, and roast prey for the tribe to eat.
Warriors (Earth) - Use the strength of the earth and rocks to aid them in battle. They have the role of guarding the Treasure Pile or Treasure Hall as well as the main Tribe Camp.
The Tree Tribe lives in the forest, amongst the highest trees. They are said to live mainly on one huge tree, the oldest and largest, whose branches have intertwined with the branches of many other trees around it, forming many dens and pathways to walk on. In the center of that tree, there is said to be the Tribe Chief's den, and an opening to the Treasure Hall, containing the many jewels and gold, hidden away and protected by this Tribe of Griffins. The Tree Tribe is generally the calmer and more intelligent Tribe, and considered the "weaker" tribe because of it (and also becuase they are located lower than the Cliff Tribe)
The Cliff Tribe lives on a ridge like mountain with plenty of unknown caverns, caves, waterfalls, trenches, and rivers. These Griffins are mainly located on the flat area between two of the mountain's highest peaks. It has steep cliffs and caves, which are used as dens. The largest cave is their Treasure Hall, where they place and protect all of their treasure. The second largest den is the Chief Leader's den, located only several pawsteps away from the Treasure Hall. The Cliff Tribe is usually considered the "Superior" Tribe, tending to use brawn before brains and liking to think themselves higher than the Tree Tribe.
Code of Honor
1: Loyalty to your tribe and Tribe Leader comes first.
2: Trespassing on another tribe territory is forbidden.
3: Feed elders and grifflets before yourself.
4: A grifflet can only become an apprentice when they are at least 3 years old.
5: A griffor apprentice can become only become a full member of the tribe when they have mastered their powers.
6: To murder another griffin, regardless of tribe, is prohibited unless necessary to defend yourself.
7: Grifflets must always be taken care of, regardless of Tribe.
8: Any treasure you find is to go to the Treasure Hall.
9: Treasure from the Treasure Hall is not to be touched without the permission of your Tribe Chief.
10: The word of the Tribe Chief is law.
11: If the Tribe Leader dies, the entire tribe must decide of the three Chiefs who should become Tribe Leader.
12: A griffin is loyal to one mate it's whole life. Even after a mate's death, that griffin must live the rest of it's life alone.
The Way of the Dragon:
Dragons love to prove themselves, and treasure is all they search for. The travel in a pack, migrating every few years after they've stripped a place clean of it's treasures. They take advantage of anything and everything. Dragons live by only one rule: "Follow the Leader. Whatever the Leader says, goes." Elders are rejected from the pack once they can no longer hunt or find treasure. Young Dragons tend to have to learn to rely on only themselves, barely surviving until they fully mature. The dragons hunt for themselves and are only called for "Treasure Duty" in which they go out (usually several dragons together) and search for treasure in rivers, towns, and everywhere treasure could possibly be found. Th dragons fight fiercely over food and treasure. If the leader is chosen through fights of strength, and sometimes dragons challenge the leader in hopes of defeating him and being the new leader. The dragons how think more sensibly (which is rare) are outcasted and live amongst the shadows of the pack.
