((I reread the books and you have to have 9 cats. In Firestar's journey they explained that Starclan takes away the new leader's life and replaces it with 9 from Starclan. So you need another cat ))

Silentpaw gave a sound that sounded like a squeak and meow. More tears streamed from her eyes as she threw back her head and yowled as loud as she could.

Nightshade pressed comforting against Peppersong's side. "I'm sorry. The whole clan will miss her but with each death there's always more life." Her eyes were bright and clear. "Peppersong, I know this is the wrong time but I'm gonna join Leafclan as a warrior. . . If you'll let me. And I want my kits trained in the way of the warrior code"

Peppersong nodded with determination. "Of course. I could never let a cat go out in the forest alone. It's against my personal principles." Peppersong said. "How old are Ash and Silent? I guess that I should start to think of mentors..." She murmured, thinking about what she should do, and how good of a leader she would be. Pepperstar; that would be her name. Strangely, she liked the sound of it.

Nightshade dipped her head. "Both Ashkit and Silentkit are 5 moons. In about 3 sunsets they will be 6 moons" Her eyes flashed with uncertainty. "But Silentkit can never be a full on warrior can she?"
