Codiac licked her forehead. "Then let's run. We can go across the lake and live together. Start a pack of our own."

Lula tucked her tail. "I feel like a rebel. But I don't care anymore. How do we get across?" She blinked, half excited and half nervous.

Codiac grinned and slipped into the water. "There's an abandoned boat in the middle. We can sleep there when we get halfway across."

Lula laughed. "Okay!" Slowly, she started to walk into the water. "Brr...it's cold!" The female wolf shivered and giggled.

Codiac laughed and swam deeper in.

Lula playfully splashed Codiac with her tail. "Gotcha!" She barked gleefully.

Burnou agreed with his mate. "Yes, we need to do something about them..." He bent down and picked up part of the elk by the shoulders and lifted it up.

Nikuta helped by picking up the center body of the elk and carrying it on her back. "Alright let's carry it back."

Tioga raced through the trees toward the sound of Leela's howl. He had been out patrolling their territory with Talon and they had found nothing but the scent of the enemy pack on the borders.

Talon followed Tioga through the forest toward his alpha's howl, his thick-furred tail streaming out behind.

Leela ducked underneath the elk beside Nikuta, helping her with the heaviest part.

Rikku jumped to her feet. "Nikuta, I can help too! What do you want me to do?"
