I smiled at the kit. "Well, once when I was an apprentice, my best friend, Bluepaw (Bluetail) and I were out hunting when we saw a fox! It attacked us. We ran as fast as we could be we couldn't outrun it! Suddenly, I turned around and started to fight it. With Bluepaw's help we won the fight!" I meowed.

I sat in the warriors den, staring bleakly, through the gaps between the leaves in the gold sunlight. I thought to myself how it felt as if the clan was so at peace that StarClan had nothing to hold against us. I yawned and then rose to my paws and padded from the den. I slowly walked over to the center of the clearing and called out for DapplePaw. I walked over to the apprentices den and stood in the entrance, letting my shadow fall over DapplePaw.
" Come on you lump of fir. " I meowed. " It's time to train. Did you really think I would let you sleep all day."

I rolled over, thumping my paws up against SilverPelts thigh. I positioned myself into the curve of her stomach and closed my eyes again. I didn't want to wake up yet.

I stared at him with my penetrating gaze. " You are a noble cat. You are honest and trustworthy. I must say though that you will have to live with some sort of punishment. I do believe that living outside the boundaries of your own family and fighting, with your clan, against your family, will be enough punishment though. You'll be lucky if StarClan don't punish you. How, was it even a possibility though, from one of my most trusted clan members...You do realize that the clan will not be happy with this though? I am not happy, but I cannot advance upon the boundaries of love...and neither can StarClan or any other cat. You are dismissed, WhiteLeaf." I flicked my tail and I began to eat my rabbit again.

I flicked my tail impatiently at FlameHeart.
"When are we going hunting?" I asked desperately. I scuffed a paw over the ground anxiously and hoped he wouldn't ask me about my sudden mood change. I was still happy, but I didn't want to stick around this place. It was getting a little more boring with every second. I knew that for the next six moons after my kits were born. I wanted to get out as much as I possibly could while I could. I flicked my tail again as I awaited his response. It felt like forever. Just then I remembered that I hadn't told him about me being ready to kit in a few weeks. I sighed quietly as my patience was growing thinner and thinner.

I breathed in the warm green-leaf air as I watched my kits playing in the dirt outside the nursery. They were growing up so quickly and I couldn't bear to watch them grow further away from me. Just then I heard IceStar call the clan around HighLog. I coaxed each of my kits along and sat beside a cluster of ferns. Then I gasped as our leader admitted her love for the deputy of WindClan. I was waiting for a sour comment to come from my clan members but I spoke before either of them.
"IceStar...of all the cats in this clan you are closest to StarClan and you chose to disobey the warrior code?!" I asked in shock. " How do you think this will affect the clan? The kits? The Apprentices? They are all vulnerable to following your path..." I turned from beneath HighLog and ushered my kits to the nursery.

I sat in camp dozing lightly in the medicine cats den. It was great to know that all was going well in your clan, but, I needed some life added to my life. I needed a paw-full of fun to guide me on so that I knew I wasn't just some lump of fur, billowing in the shadows. Just then I remembered that Flint would be coming with his rogue/apprentices. I couldn't believe that I was in on such a crime but I knew that there was a kit that would be perfect for him to train once he was trusted and well known here. GrayKit would learn fast. He wasn't all that intelligent yet either so it would be a good choice beginner.

I stood from my bed and padded over to the fresh-kill pile. "Panther, Fleur, It's time to wake up and get something to eat so that we can head out. We are going to ShadowClan today if you remember. " I grabbed a mouse and ate it quickly and then I groomed my fur.

I looked at my apprentice strangely for a moment. " Okay, where is the best place to hunt?" I asked as I decided to see what he knew. I flicked my tail as we began to head to the training hollow. I was going to surprise him, hopefully. I planned on taking him to the training hollow and then telling him we were going to go over his hunting skills. I loved this part about being an apprentice and in a way wished I were an apprentice again. I pushed through the ferns with him at my side and then I said, " You shouldn't grumble about waking up and having to master your level of apprentice-ship each day. It will only bring you closer to becoming a true warrior. " I finished as we entered the clearing of the training hollow.

I nudged Shadedkit,"Get up you sleepy furball." I wished he were mine, it was just too bad he didn't trust anyone but me.Perhaps if I finished raising him, he'd learn to trust others and act as if I were his mother like Rootpaw does.

As I padded out of Ashstar's den, cats had began to gather around with curiousity.Blackcloud was the first to speak of the incident,"What happened in there?"
I gave him a stern look and held my voice,"I'm sure it's nothing the Clan won't hear about later.It's Ashstar's decision if she wants to share it or not."
As I walked toward the warriors' den, I caught a glimpse of simpathy from Flameheart.I nodded my head slightly to let him know I'd be alright.I lied down in my nest and thaught, What if Ashstar's right?What if fighting my mate and kit in battle is the worst punishment of all?

What happened that Ashstar was so angry with her deputy?I couldn't help but to think Flameheart knew something and didn't want to share it.But, if it was going to make him uncomfortable, I wouldn't ask.
"Can we go hunting with you two?" I asked Flameheart and Spottedtalon as I flicked my tail toward Russetpaw.
The ginger and white tom shrugged,"Sure, why not?I-If it's okay with you?" he turned to face Spottedtalon.

I picked a baby rabbit out of our fresh-kill pile after Flint ordered us to eat.Flint had finsished his while I still had a few bites left, so I gulped them down quickly.
"So we're going to join ShadowClan?Are you sure they'll accept us?" I mewed.I couldn't be sure that they'd just invite us in, yet, from what Flint's father, Blazeface, said, they were small and weak.Could Flint's plot to take over actually work?

Bladedheart had sat towards the back of the gathering to listen to Icestar's news. He felt a faint sense of surprise but rationalized it. Love was fickle and unpredictable. It could blind the wisest of all. He heard protests rise and felt on edge. "All they have to do is raise the kit as a loyal warrior and they have minimal worries..." Bladedheart murmured to no one i particular. But his sense of loyalty was different than most. He kept his gaze on Icestar, a steady form in the back of the mass of protests.

Foxflight's head whipped to the side at Icestar's words. So all of those late night patrols alone were endeavers with her lover. She growled low in her throat as protests rose. "I can't believe you." She hissed at her leader, her green eyes hostile.

I knew from the start most cats would be upset with me, however, they all needed to know.Out of everyone, I think Foxflight was the most furious."I'm sorry, Foxflight.At least I revealed my secret to the Clan and did not hide it like most cowards would," I snapped back.I knew I shouldn't act like that towards her or anyone, but I needed to defend myself.
Before I leaped off of the rock I yowled,"This meeting is over.If anyone wants to confront me about my mistake, I'd be glad to discuss it.I'll be in the nursery." With that, I leaped down and headed to the nursery.Greenkit would be missing me.

Icestar had been going out at night to see another cat from another Clan.I wasn't much surprised though.From the moment she wanted me to check for kits I had suspicions about her.However, Icestar was not, and never will be, a bad leader.They all make mistakes, however, some are worse than others.
When the crowd died down, I went to check on the grey she-cat."Are you alright?" I mewed as I entered.
She looked up from Greenkit, sadness clouding her eyes,"I wish that would have never happened.I had been seeing Whiteleaf even after I'd became deputy.You'd think I would know better."
"You made a mistake as all cats do.Soon the Clan will think nothing of it and move on.It'll be back to normal in no time," I mewed in encouragement.
