Vinepaw rolled her eyes, why did Swiftpaw always take over everything with her...what did she ever do to her? Vinepaw shrugged and left, leaving paw prints in the snow

"Ok. So, we'll start at the nursery. The queens move there when they discover they are expecting, and they stay there until their kits are made apprentices. But I'll get to that later. The care of the kits is shared by all the queens, and the apprentices help them, along with the medicine cat." Swiftpaw mewed.

[Shippe]

"Cool!" murmured Shattered enthusiastically. "What else?"

[horchata]

"When you are an apprentice at 6 moons, the clan leader assignes a mentor to teach out how to fight and hunt and care for other clanmates. So, Shattered, when you are an apprentice, you will be called 'Shatteredpaw'. And you will have a mentor, and move to the apprentice den. I'll still be there when you do." She smiled.

Vinepaw sat down by the river, she looked at the water rush past and sighed, she hoped she wouldn't have to compete for a mate with Swiftpaw..it was obvious who'd win...

Swiftpaw looked around. "Wheres Vinepaw?" She asked.

[Shippe]

[Sorry, was trading.]
"Cool! Will Vinepaw be in there also?" He mewed out of curiosity. "And, I have no idea? That is a good question..."

[horchata]

"Yes, she will." Swiftpaw mewed. "When you turn 12 Moons, you will be given a warrior name. It could be anything. Shatteredheard, Shatteredclaw... and you will hunt, fight and care for your clan to the best of your abilities. You will sleep in the warriors den, and you will no longer have a mentor. You may have a mate, your mate may have kits, its all in the circle of life. If you are extremely loyal to your clan, you can be made deputy. When the leader dies, you will be made leader, drop the second half of your name, and go by 'Shatteredstar.' When you are old, you will retire to the warriors den. Now, please excuse me, I have to do something." Then Swiftpaw sprinted out of camp and came to a halt when she saw tracks in the snow. She began to follow them.

"Cool! Does the leader pick your warrior name? And where are you going?" He mewed after her as she disappeared from camp. He decided it would be rude to follow, so he waited their for her return.

Vinepaw left the river and headed for the forest
