Burningkit sat on the sandy ground, stalking his prey with extreme skill. If his paw touched the ground with a single thump, the ground would vibrate to the mouse he was coming; they were very sensitive little creatures. They needed to be sensitive to survive. He leaped on the leaf, and snorted. Being sensitive didn't help them escape him! He glanced at the sky and mewed with delight as a moth flapped past his gaze, distracting him from the wandering clouds. He batted at it, though that was kit stuff. Imagine! He was about to become an apprentice. He sat down again, ignoring the struggling moth. He wondered if he would remember being a kit; what would happen when his name changed to a 'paw' his 'kit' name forever to be forgotten? Oh, but the rumors that had gone when he was a kit! That would forever be remembered.
