Squirrelpaw gasped in surprise. Skyleaf is my mentor! The deputy of SunClan! I just hope she has time to train me between being a mother, mate, deputy and mentor!. "Hey Mouse now that I'm an apprentice do you think you can take me to see your clan?" She asked.

Fernheart left Scorpiondance to take care of her kits and cheered for her own. Her kits, apprentice!I know they'll do great, she thought, looking at each of her kits in turn. "You'll be a great mentor,"Fernheart mewed, nuzzling Nightsound.

Bramblepaw purred at his siblings.

Skyleaf touched noses with Squirrelpaw and purred. "Well, after the gathering we'll see more about training. I'll be looking rather forward to it." she mewed with a playful flick of her tail.

Nightsound purred loudly and then smiled lightly. "Thank you." he mewed before touching noses with APntherpaw who purred rather loudly himself. He was learning to read vibrations and lips. Turning to his mother he nuzzled her side before dissappearing off towards the fresh-kill pile.

Slypaw shook his head. "Nothing's wrong" he mewed. "I'm just still getting used to this whole clan thing." he mewed.

Squirrelpaw's eyes widened. "Oh the gathering! Can I go Skyleaf? Please? I'll behave I promise!" Squirrelpaw pleaded in desperation.

Fernheart watched Nightsound touch noses with his apprentice. SpiritStar gave Pantherpaw the best mentor he could have possibly gotten. For who could better understand him then Nightsound, who used to be mute?.

"Uh, well...okay." he mewed with a slight sigh. Pretending to be exaperated he followed Brightpaw to Bramblepaw, and Squirrelpaw.

Nightsound watched after Pantherpaw for a moment and flicked his tail. Pantherpaw, having understood, padded up beside him.

Skyleaf sighed with a soft smile. "First we'll have to check with Spiritstar first, dear. then I'll make the decision. I honestly think most of our apprentice's should go." She mewed.

Squirrelpaw was giddy with excitment. Her first gathering! She nodded vigorously, unable to speak.

"Oh no you don't!" Fernheart mewed, quickly grabbing Brightpaw before she could run off. "And where do you think your going?" She scolded in a motherly fashion.

"Sorry dear," Fernheart mewed, letting go of Brightpaw. "But be careful okay?" She warned, giving Brightpaw a quick grooming.
