Pantherkit let go of Ravenkit quickly and then cocked his head to the side.

Cherrykit, purred and got to her paws with a purr.

Ravenkit puffed out. "you heard me." he mewed licking his neck.

Diamondkit laughed looking over at her brothers her smile faded. "uh oh."

Pantherkit stared unsurely at Ravenkit. He wasn't sure what he had said. All he heard ws hurt, but that was it...Blinking his yellow eyes he wondered how come Ravenkit's voice sounded far away.

Ravenkit looked at his brother. "i said it hurt. What do you say?" he growled.

Eagleleap heard to commotion stop and padded outside to find the confused looks on all his kits faces. "what is wrong?" he mewed

Pantherkit still looked confused. Then he turned to Eagleleap. "Why can't I hear Ravenkit?" he asked.

Cherrykit gasped softly her eyes never leaving Pantherkit.

Eagleleap's eyes looked at his son. they were full of worry and fear... fear for his son's hearing. he padded up to him. "Pantherkit.. can you hear me?" he mewed.

Diamondkit looked at her brother. "Pantherkit..." she mewed

But Pantherkit couldn't hear them. He felt fear grip his pelt as he looked up hopelessly at his father.

Skyleaf padded out of the nursery to see what was going on. "What's wrong?" she asked her voice sharp.

Eagleleap blinked slowly shaking his head back and forth. "DAISYSHINE!!!" he yowled calling for the only med cat here. he turned to Skyleaf. "He can't hear. Pantherkit can't hear me." he mewed.

Diamondkit gasped padding up to her brother.

Pantherkit felt his fear grow. What was his father saying? What was going on? Why couldn't he hear them?! He looked up at his mother to find her wrapping herself protectively around him, and he wondered what was happeneing. He shivered and huddled closely as he watched the choas with deaf ears.
