Earthstorm's eyes widened in fear. "A while ago DiamondStar sent me and Orangewing to twoleg place to look for Fernpaw and the others. When I got there I ran into Thunder, his mate, Nightpaw and some other cats. I tried to pursuade them to come back but they wouldn't listen! They said they had to stay for some battle with 'The Land of Eve!' I didn't think it was that serious!" Earthstorm was almost in histeria now. "And now their all going to die in this battle and what did I do? I walked away!"

Skyleaf's ears were pricked up at Earthstomr's statement. "Well no wonder they haven't come home! They've been battling all this time!" she mewed shocked. "We'd better help them. Earthstorm don't blame yourself. You didn't know. I curse myself for not telling this earlier!" Skyleaf mewed as she glared down at herself. Some deputy you are she thought.

"I want to go." Shadowpaw chimed in. "I know you don't think I'll be able to fight, but I don't care. I'm going. I must avenge Cloudsong." Shadowpaw's voice became grave, and he felt it was his duty to honor Cloudsong in any way possible. By any means necassary.

"Me too." Leopardpaw added "I know Cloudsong would want us to be safe, but they hurt her. We can't just stand by and watch them hurt countless others."

Skyleaf sighed and then she licked her chest fur deep in thought. "We can't all just go, we still need cats in camp. You all know our clan is smaller now. But I see your point. We'll have to ask Diamondstar though."

Earthstorm nodded. He couldn't help but blame himself, this was clearly his fault. He turned to Orangewing. "I'm going to go to fight Orangewing, I owe it to Thunder and Nightpaw. You stay here and look after Magpiekit and the other kits okay? I know you would be amazing in the battle but we need someone to watch the kits and I want someone I can trust with my life to look after Magpiekit. The others don't know how she feels for MarshClan, I'm afraid she might run off if you go to battle too." Earthstorm mewed.

Dusk had been in the shadows, listening to the conversation. She stepped out so everyone could see her. "I'm going to. Nothing you do or say can stop me." She added at Skyleaf's look of protest. "If you don't let me go I'll just sneak away and by myself I'll increase the chance of getting myself killed. I know I havn't had any training but I am almost old enough to be an apprentice." Dusk really wanted to fight in the battle but it would be hard convincing the others she was ready.

Skyleaf sighed. "Well it seems I have no choice. But Dusk as much as I know you're ready, Diamondstar won't let you out of her sight. Especially now that you've come back. She's been worried about you. But I'll try to get us prepared, but for some reason...I don't think it'll be neccesary. If they're already fighting, what makes you all think they're not done now? From what I've heard from you Earthstorm it seems as if the fight might be over. They'll probably need some medical atteetion, but other than that I'm not to sure about."

"It's better to be safe then sorry," Dusk mewed. "Then let's send only half the clan to go and Owlscreech, possibly Daisyshine as well. As for DiamondStar, I'll handle her. I'm going no matter what."

"Alrgith but you're staying with me the whole time, you got that?" she mewed sternly. Then she turned to the others. "Sunclan warriors and apprentice's we're going to find our clanmates!" She yowled and then began leading the way.

Dusk nodded. She didn't care if she had to be by Skyleaf the whole time, she was just glade she got to go to fight. Her first battle! Hopfuly it wasn't over..Dusk ran to catch up with Skyleaf. She trotted by her side, clearly excited for the battle.

Earthstorm gave Orangewing a quick lick on the head before mewing hurriedly, "take care of Magpiekit while I'm gone! I love you!" Before following after the others.
