[I don't think much of anything has happened, except Dusk came back with Shadowpaw and Diamondstar and the rest of the gang. This is my response to your previous post.]

"I... I have to help bury Cloudsong..." Shadowpaw explained to Dusk, his blind filled with grief. Part of him wished that she had stayed in MarshClan, so that she didn't have to see him like this. But another part of him was happy to have her here, and he brushed his nose against her cheek "Don't worry... I'll be back soon." He smiled sadly, and turned to Diamondstar "I'm ready to bury her." He knew that it would hurt, but it was what Cloudsong would want.

Leopardpaw also looked at Diamondstar, and then to Cloudsong's body. "May Shadowpaw and I carry her body?"

"of course." Diamondstar responded to them. she started to slowly walk to where they were to bury their dead.

Dusk followed DiamondStar and the kits back to camp. She walked by Shadowpaw the entire time, guiding him through the forest. Her heart was heavily with grief for Cloudsong and seeing her clanmates, and kin, so sadened intensified this feeling. The day had finally caught up with her and Dusk was exhausted. When they entered the camp she intended to go into the nursery and flop down in a nest but she was rooted to the spot when Clousong's figure illuminated the night sky. Her words comforted her, though she knew they were not directed to her but to her kits. It helped to easy her heart knowing that Cloudsong would be okay, at peace, but it couldn't take away the pain of loosing her. She sent out a silent prayer to EonClan. I will stay true to my promise Cloudsong, I will take care of Shadowpaw. Even if it means I'll have to join you in EonClan I'll do it. Dusk turned to Shadowpaw. "Come on, we really should get some rest," she mewed gently.

((Where the heck is Orangewing, Earthstorm and Magpiekit? Dusk looks around guiltily. "I guess the magic carpet didn't work.." hide the carpet behind her back.

Hollowkit ran over to Shadowpaw and Leopardpaw. "No!" he snapped. "I will bury her!"

Orangewing felt grief wash over her. "Cloudsong..."
Magpiekit couldn't feel much grief for Cloudsong – she had never met the queen. But it hurt her to see Orangewing so upset.
Orangewing took a deep breath. "I would like all of Cloudsong's kits to come to me. I have something very important to tell them,"

Leopardpaw and Shadowpaw looked longingly at Orangewing, curious as to what she would say. They fell out of place, because they were never related to Cloudsong by blood, but she had adopted them as her kits when they needed a mother most.

Leopardpaw was also shocked by Hollowkit's reaction "I... I...." She didn't want to say no, but it mattered so much to her. "We can all bury her."

"Kits," Orangewing began. "I am your aunt. Limepaw was my brother. Coyotefang and Acrylic are your grandparents." And Batstar is your great-grandfather and Watersnake is your great-great-grandfather. ......Watersnake's pretty old.... >w>

Leopardpaw and Shadowpaw didn't really know Coyotefang personally, and they especially didn't know who this Acrylic cat was. But they had heard of Limepaw, and how he had meant so much to Cloudsong not only as a mate, but as her best friend. This didn't really mean that Coyotefang and Acrylic were Leopardpaw and Shadowpaw's grandparents, but it felt slightly comforting to know that they had family, blood related or not.

"Wait... Who's Coyotefang and Acrylic? I mean... I've heard of Coyotefang..." Shadowpaw asked, curious. Aren't they from a different Clan? "And isn't Coyotefang's mate Magmastar?"
