Hawkkit ran to Rushingkit and pounced on her. "Wanna fight!?" he mewed playfully

Diamondstar looked at the small cats. "Are you sure you want to do this Shadowpaw? You know once you leave we can't protect you or your friends." she mewed gently to the apprentice.

"I'm positive." Shadowpaw mewed quietly, looking sadly to Cloudsong. Oh how he wished that she would come with him. "Cloudsong, you made a promise. You would never leave me alone. Well here I am... Alone... Goodbye, Cloudsong."

Snow nodded curtly to the cats around her, flicking her tail to Dusk "Dusk, are you sure that this is what you want?" Excitement sparked in Snow's eyes, hoping that the cat would accompany them.

Hawkkit ran to Rushingkit and pounced on her. "Wanna fight!?" he mewed playfully

Diamondstar looked at the small cats. "Are you sure you want to do this Shadowpaw? You know once you leave we can't protect you or your friends." she mewed gently to the apprentice.

Rushingkit purred at Hawkkit but then turned to Shadowpaw and padded over to him. "You're only alone if you want to be!" she mewed angrily. "You made us run here becasue mama didn't want you to hurt us or her have to hurt her! Just listen for a chance Shadowpaw!" She yowled and then she padded back to her family. "But you're still my brother! Wheter you like it or not!" and her hiss was filled with determination and a fierce tone of...love. Love for her brother and her family.

Cloudsong was shocked with what both of her kits had said and then she mewed "Rushingkit's right, you didn't want me to be there so what could I do? What do you want from me Shadowpaw? Do you want me to let you hurt my kits and then be okay about it?" Tears streakeed down Cloudsong's face. "Do you want me to be okay with you leaving?! I've already lost my mate and now my kits...I might as well go back to the 'land of Eve'. At least then I'd die saying I'd done my job," she mewed sadly.

Hollowkit looked at his mother, "You didn't lose me, mama. I promise you'll never lose me."

Shadowpaw looked down at his paws, filled with conflicting emotions. He was surprised about what Rushingkit had said, and it filled him with grief. He felt guilty and sad, for a moment. But those feelings were replaced by doubt and anger "I love all of you. But I can't stay here... I've caused enough problems." He looked down at himself, the bloodied scars of the thorns visible through his dark fur "Leopardpaw has caused enough problems." He glared at his sister "I have no clue if she loves me anymore, but I'll always love you Cloudsong. But now... Now I must leave. I hope we meet eachother again... Maybe in a different life."

Shadowpaw cursed Leopardpaw for making him like this. He cursed Diamondstar for not punishing her. He cursed himself for being stupid enough to trust any of them. He cursed EonClan for letting this happen to him. But above all, he cursed Cloudsong for loving him... Because that's what made it even harder to leave.

Snow looked at Shadowpaw "Me must leave now... Brother." She could tell that with every word these Clan cats were saying, it made him want to stay here more.

Shadowpaw nodded to Snow and said "Cloudsong. Don't ever say you want to the 'Land of Eve'. Or so help me I would kill myself. It would be better than this."

Leopardpaw sat in shock, speechless. How could he do this to us?

Hollowkit looked at his mother, "You didn't lose me, mama. I promise you'll never lose me."

Cloudsong gave Hollowkit a weak smile and licked him gently. "I know Hollow, you're a loyal kit. I know you'll grow up to be a great cat. I know it," she murmured."But, I must protect my kits Shadowpaw. You have to understand that!" She hissed, her goldne eyes turning cold as she stared at Snow. "But just remember this:
My star shall fall on the night of Snow
My protector is one of Shadows,
But is under the spell.
The spell that is life." And with that she padded towards Diamondstar. "I'm ready to go home, I'm ready to...live my life"

Rushingkit ran out towards Shaodwpaw and then she licked his fur gently. "I won't forget you, I swear!" she whispered sadly. then she turned back to her family. "But mama and my siblings need me to be strong for them! I- I have to help my family, but how can I do that when my family's being ripped apart?" she asked sadly.

Hollowkit followed Cloudsong. His mother needed him and he'd be there for her. There were three types of Clan cats: those who look up to the warrior code, those who look up to EonClan, and those who looked up to their leader. Hollowkit was neither of these. He looked up to Cloudsong.

Dusk nodded to Snow. She had already said her goodbyes, to her brother and her mother. Although she knew they didn't know, she felt at peace knowing that she had at least said goodbye. Her only regret was that she didn't get to say goodbye to Ferretkit. Goodbye sister, I'll miss you, she mewed silently, catching Ferretkit's eye. She turned away and waited for Shadowpaw and Snow's signal. She panicked when Snow asked her outloud if she was ready to go. I don't want my kin to know I'm leaving! It'll be easier that way! I wont have to see then so...sad. She stood stiff for a few moments, not even daring to breath as she waited for the accusations that where sure to come. But they didn't. No one seemed to have heard what Snow had said, everyone was focused on Shadowpaw. She sighed in relief. That was close! Dusk looked around and when she was sure no one was watching her, she slipped away silently into the forest, her black pelt blending in with the shadows. She padded over so she was a foxlength or two behind Snow, so she could see when Snow and Shadowpaw would leave. This way she could leave without anyone seeing her, but she would know when it was time.

Diamondstar had noticed her missing kit and put two and two together when she didn't come back. "your leaving too Duskkit? Why?" she mewed gently to her kit

Hawkkit was surprised. "Dusk DONT GO!!!" he yowled after hearing his mother.

Diamondstar looked at them. "just remember you guys will be welcomed back if you want."
