(I'm sorry I haven't posted all day long. I just got back from a freaking TEN hour drive

, and arrived safely in Nebraska. I'm here now, so can I have a recap? I'll post as much as possible for the next couple of days!

She shook her head and thought I have to focus. If I have kits, I won't be able to go on as many hunting patrols!
Shadowkit smiled and looked at Cloudsong and asked "Cloudsong... Where is your mate?"
Cloudsong turned to Shadowkit, with a sad smile. "My mate died Shadowkit, but it's okay. I miss him all the time, but now I have 6 kits who remind me of him so I know I won't feel so bad about it," she mewed. "His name was Limepaw and he was supposed to be a warrior with me, but he thought that because he was deaf he didn't deserve to be with me," Then she saw Fernpaw and Echodream. "Oh hey! Echodream!" she mewed her eyes brightening.
Shadowkit was silent for a long time, even as the others spoke. He wondered how EonClan could be so cruel to take away Cloudsong's beloved.
No one deserved to hurt her like that! He thought, simmering in anger. He glanced up at Cloudsong and sighed "I'm sorry..." Shadowkit wanted to be an apprentice badly, because he wanted to show the others that he could do so much more than they thought he could. He stood up, and silently made his way towards the fresh kill pile. He decided against getting something to eat, and walked past it. He stood by the edge of camp, and made sure that no one was looking before he slipped out through a crevice in the rocks behind him. He ventured into the forest, trying to have some alone-time with his thoughts. When he finally found a clearing to think in, he settled on a flat rock in the center of the clearing. He sighed and rested his chin on his paws, staring at the ground.
I feel like my sister's still out there... He closed his eyes and fell asleep, drifting into a dream.
Something was burning. He looked around the place he used to call home, and it took a while to hit him. The sky was red, and the sun was burning all of the clouds. Then he looked closer, squinting through the leaves, and noticed that it was extremely hot that day. Then he smelled it. The charred leaves, the burning wood, the baked branches. Death.
He ran out and shouted "Mom! Leopardkit!" No reply. Not even screams.
A flaming branch fell on him, pinning him to the ashy ground. He yowled in pain, and could feel the burn of the fire on his face and belly. Suddenly, he heard something. It was a faint meowing, and he lifted his head, watching a small white cat rushing to his aid. Her eyes were wide and afraid, and she was quickly joined by what looked like her mother and another smaller cat, Leopardkit. The small white cat began to push the branch off of him, burning her belly in the process and causing her to yowl in pain.
"Shadowkit, run! Leopardkit, follow him quickly!" Their mother yowled, giving them a push with her nose "I'll catch up with you, I must find your father!" She stared at the white kit "Snowkit, go!"
