A blackish streak took off from the kennels, tongue lolling happily. This blob, Shasta, was glad to stretch his legs and run. Especially in the snow. He'd always loved the frozen rain, it's fluffiness and pureness. Thoughts pushed aside, the dog's front right leg slid in front of the other, tripping him up and into a drift. It's dark in here... With a "Mrf!" of effort, the Canadian dog fell back, landing on his haunches.

Soul sat atop a rather large snow drift, watching below as his fellow team mates awoke from the brisk night in the snowy outside. It had been a rather light layer of snow, but he figured his team could manage though waking up to an inch above their heads in the morning was never a fun sight. New snow meant another inch, or two, or three, to trudge through that day while pulling--though today Soul wasn't sure the team was pulling.

They would most likely be saving energy for their large and continual Yukon Quest run later in the month. As to not let the dogs get hurt, their master had been running them every other day--and today was the day they didn't run. So Soul remained at his post a top the snow drift, waiting for the others to get up.

Tourniquet was quietly padding across the camp when a large black blob rocketed across her path abruptly. The female jumped back with a threatening snarl at the dog who had almost just ran in to her, and followed her team member as he ran straight in to a snow bank. "What the hell are you doing Shasta?" Questioned the wolf-ish dog, cocking her head to the side while watching him.

Tourn padded over to his side, craning her neck to face the male with raised eyebrows.

Shasta's ears fell slightly, looking a little hurt. But almost immediatly, the dog perked back up with a pant, in a type of doggy-grin. "Err, playing in the snow?" He offered with a light tail wag. Tourniquet was one of his teammates, obviously. What was her position again? Swing? Not sure... Oh, your distracted! Shasta huffed. "You act like a party pooper Tourn!"

Jude's snowy white head was covered with a small layer with snow while he opened his eyes, he let a annoyed breath out, the snow slightly melting as his hot breath hit the snow on the top of his nose. He flicked his ears and lifted his head, shaking it as he did so. Jude stood up and shook off the snow from his fur, wagging his curled tail. He felt angered by the snow for a moment, the coldness of the melted snow from his fur sunk in and reached the skin under his pelt. Jude moved his head around as he searched for his team mates, noticing Soul standing above.

Minxx heard some commotion while she was laying where she was, resting. Her ears perked as she listened to them, 'Shasta and Tourn' she thought to herself as she wagged her tail against the ground. She stood up and decided to go to them, padding towards the voices, picking her way through the other sled dogs that lay on the ground, or well, the makeshift dog beds in the kennel.

~RACHETT~
The copper alaskan malamute yawned. Her deep blue eyes watched Shasta running on the snow. Her ear flickered as she heard Tourniquet call out to him, and she put her head back down on her paws. She was laying on the snow, alone, outside of one of the buildings. She didn't like to be around the other dogs much, for she had never really picked up the courage to talk to them. During the run, she would keep quiet and silently guide the sled over the cracks in the ice. She was indeed small, even for a Malamute. She hated it, it made her feel even more insignificant. Feeling a wave of sadness, Rachett stuffed her nose in the snow, emerging with from it sneezing. No she wasn't insignificant as such, she wanted it that way.
Kind of.
She couldn't even work herself out, so how could anyone else? Again with the pessimistic nature which she hated. She was such a happy pup, so normal. Then everyone grew, and she remained small. Every comment on her small stature sank right in, decreasing her confidence. Every jibe made her feel even more small.



~GARRUS~
The large Tamaskan was sitting by the sledge, his head held high as his hazel eyes looked out to the great ice field. The corner of his mouth twitched in a smile. He loved to run, to be incontrol of the sledge. Standing to all fours, he turned around and started to head back to the town, stopping to take on last look at the sledge. He nodded at it, for he respected it. Padding back to the town in silence wasn't unusual for Garrus to be walking in silence. He liked it, it gave him time to ponder over the tactics he would take for the race. He stopped as he heard voices. He looked over at the growing crowd of dogs, and froze, trying to decide whether or not to join them.

Jude sneezed as he turned his head away from Soul, noticing that Garrus had awoken as well, he seemed to give a doggy smile as he dipped his head and ate some snow. He really wondered why the snow never seemed to full quench his thirst, he turned his head back to Garrus, diverting his attention away from the snow, and his thought. Thinking for a moment, he started making his way through the snow towards Garrus.

Personality: Juno is a semi-sweet dog wen it feels necessary. She's moody often but often swings to happy-go-lucky, mostly because she has a medium case of Bipolarism. But nobody on the team would know that, so in her eyes, they probably think she's just a jerk. Even though she's mean on the off days, this dog is determined in races. Juno is a trustworthy dog when in the harness, to say the least. She hates having something in her way, especially when running. A quality noted is her temper flares. It isn't like she can control them, again from her condition, but like said before, the team doesn't know that.

Juno's icy eye's fluttered open as a cold wind washed over her sensitive nose. Ugh. Time to face the day. The dog yawned, a little whine escaping her throat. With a swift movement, the husky was on her paws, muscles screaming in protest. The dog gave a fur shake to try to wave away the exhaustion. But all that did was wreck her brain. Maybe a stretch in the snow will help... Juno started padding towards the kennel opening, only to trip over a snoring figure. Landing on her stomach, a grunt passed her maw. What the- Rolling onto her paws and a turn, the hudsky huffed. "Aka! What are you doing asleep?!"
