Bramblewind had never found the wailing kit. Tigerstar had assigned him an apprentice. Her name was Rosepaw. She learned quickly and did as she was told, but I knew that she could sense that something was bothering me. I still wondered about that wailing kit.

[Tigerstar isn't even in camp]

Leafkit was crying pitifully hoping that someone would help get him off of the ice. He doesn't even know why he went out there in the first place or why he found the frozen river to be so interesting. He had a hard time crawling off the ice since his paws were freezing.

Rosepaw|

Rosepaw was sorting herbs. She tucked burdock into a space. They were a bit low on borage...she would go and collect some today. Rosepaw looked up as Bramblewind ran out of the den. She shook her head. She loved her mentor, but sometimes he was not all there. "I guess...I'll be here...waiting."

Thornkit|

"Leafkit! Dont worry, I'll help you!" leafkit was slipping fast, and Thornkit looked around frantically.

Beepaw|

"Yeah..." Beepaw muttered. She sat there while Tigerstar stalked off.

Dewshade laughed. "Same here Nightheart."

Leafkit|
"Why did I even let you talk me into leaving camp!" He cried. His paws were freezing and he couldn't move closer to the edge because it if.

Tigerstar|
"Beepaw, you need to practice we are not here testing my skills we are testing yours." She mewed after she caught the mouse she caught scent of. "Sometimes we are not able to always catch the pray we want or are able to."

Nightheart|
"Time to finally eat something though." She mewed sitting in a spot of shade to eat her mouse she picked up. "I just can't wait for us to be able to get more fresh-kill though. Since once Newleaf comes so will more prey come out of its holes."

Beepaw|

Beepaw was about to scent out prey when she heard a wail. A kit's wail. "Tigerstar! Do you hear that?" Beepaw bolted towards the sound of the wailing kit. Leafkit! He was stuck in the river, about to let go of the ice he was barely hanging to.

Thornkit|

As Thornkit was about to run back to camp when Beepaw burst into the clearing. "Please...help Leafkit!" Thornkit pleaded. Beepaw dove into the freezing cold water.

Tigerstar ran after Beepaw having heard the crying as well. When Tigerstar saw the kits outside of camp she became a bit annoyed while also concerned about how to get Leafkit off safely. "You need to do this carefully Beepaw." She advised has she watched how Beepaw was acting.

Leafkit|
Leafkit was crying and was hoping that one of them would grab him. He was really cold and wanted warmth. "Help..."

Beepaw|

Beepaw leaped from iceberg to iceberg. She reached Leafkit and picked him up by the scruff. As she turned to go back to the shore, the ice shattered beneath beepaw, and she plunged into the water. As the rushing water went over her head, Beepaw struggled against the waves of water. She was able to save Leafkit. As Beepaw pulled herself out of the water, she collapsed.

"Good job now when we get back to camp you and Leafkit are going to see Bramblewind." Tigerstar mews then looks at Thornkit. "You do know kits are not allowed out of camp for a reason?" She said sternly glaring at the kit.

Leafkit|

Leafkit was coughing up some of the water that had got in his mouth. He was shivering and just wanting warmth now. He cried from not being about to find any warmth right now.

Tigerstar brought Leafkit into camp cold and wet. “What happened!” I called to them. “Leafkit will get the chills in an instant like this! Quick, bring her to the medicine den. Rosepaw!” I called to my apprentice. “Bring our herb supplie!” I started licking Leafkit to warm him up.
