TangleFur came into camp with a scrawny squirrel in her jaws. Her fur was fluffed up and her tail was lashing side to side. She was muttering under her breath, "I swear, this squirrel caused me more trouble than it's worth," She walked over to the freshkill pile and dropped her squirrel on top. She sat down a little ways away from the medicine cat den. She always liked sitting there because the scent of the herbs pleased her. She started grooming her fur.

(Buster)
Buster came out of his den, yawning. He stretched his back. Buster always seemed to sleep in. He went over to the fresh kill pile and took a small mouse from the pile. As he ate he thought to himself grumpily, Once tigerstar makes those kits apprentices, I won't have any more kits to tell my stories to, he sighed. He seemed to have finally adjusted to clan life.

Leafkit was alone at the medicine cats den. He then went to the elders den. He didn't like sitting by himself. He was bored of being alone and thought that maybe he could get another story from Buster. "Hi!" he mews

"Oh hello, Leafkit! Are you wanting another story?" Buster felt excited to tell another story.

"Woah, slow down there Beepaw! Your brain is going faster than the wind in a storm!" She chuckled, feeling better talking to an excited apprentice after her terrible hunting experience. "Kittypets usually live with twolegs and seem to think of them as clanmates. I usually find them sitting on some flat branches that the twolegs lined up that they call their "Fence". It usually circles each of the twolegs dens marking their territory. I've talked with a kittypet once when I was an apprentice just like you. The twolegs mark them with something that hangs around their neck. I think the kittypet called it her "collar"? The kittypets eat food that looks like rabbit droppings, and their water doesn't seem fresh either. I say their ways are mousbrained though. They fully depend on the twoleg for survival and will snuggle and lick the twoleg, and the twolegs returns by stroking them with their strange paws. Most of the kittypets that I've seen were friendly, but a few wouldn't back off and I sent them back to their dens with a few scratches to remember me by." She finished with a glimmer in her eye and chuckled, "Kittypets are nothing to worry about when you have Tigerstar as your mentor. I'm sure you will defend your clan against many kittypets. Speaking of which, have you learned any battle moves recently?"

"When I was younger I used to be a kittypet. The den I lived in was nasty. The twoleg had two annoying dogs that would bark at me whenever I was near them. I was lucky enough to not have a collar. The food wasn't good and the twoleg wouldn't feed me enough. So one day he had left the window open so I ran out. That was my first breath of fresh air and I knew I would never want to go back, so I ran. There was a nice loner who taught me how to hunt. I eventually found a forest to make a den in, but that forest is a long way away from here. That was when some badgers ran into me. They attacked and I lost that fight. A lot of my wounds have healed but my eye never seemed to. That's how I became blind in my right eye."
