She watched silently as the deputy keep talking with the apprentices, flicking her ears in surprise when she wanted to speak with her. She started to wonder why, was it something about Berrypaw being not clan born like she was or something else, at the moment she didn't know "...alright" she meowed silently.

She surprised when the stranger noticed her so quickly, even if she was or tried to be out of her sight 'Aren't I clumsy' she thought herself, walking out so they could see each other clearly "I could ask the same about you? He flicked his ears as the deputy talked more, blinking his eyes as he noticed that his mentor didn't truly know at all what happened between them. That the nest into the clearing was his and the moss from Berrypaw's nest was bought there by Berrypaw herself, Cricketpaw didn't have anything to do with that, she was only to blame for her harsh words. As he didn't really like Cricketpaw he didn't go to defend her and stayed silent for it "well then I am out to find Berrypaw" he meowed before raced out of the camp too.

She snarled. “What am I doing here? Why don’t you stay out of my business.” She says avoiding the question. “ Now don’t tell me you have others here too.” She says looking out the corner of her eye in case there were others. She knew if there were too many cats she wouldn’t win.

Ambergaze woke up and padded out to camp. She spotted most were already awake. She began to pad to the prey pile.

Whisperstep nodded, padding away from the apprentices and guiding Lilyjaw to where the apprentices couldn’t hear them speak. The orange tabby sat down, sighing softly. “What in Starclan are we going to do with these apprentices?” She asked Lilyjaw. Whisperstep needed to vent; to destress. “What in Starclan are we going to do with the clan?” She meowed, slightly louder. Her ears pinned back, the fur on her back began to fluff down once again.

Berrypaw looked behind herself, seeing that the clan to seemed to not care. Keeping her ears pinned back, she got up, running as fast as she could into the territory, not giving a care in the world. She then began to realize that she was out on her own—no mentor, no other cats. “Mouse dung,” She whispered to herself before she stopped in her tracks, realizing she had came to a river—not alone either. Her eyes widened as she saw the calico sitting before her. The fur on her back began to stand up as her ears perked up, “What are you doing on clan’s territory?” The apprentice asked, trying to sound like she knew what she was doing.

Holding her deputy's gaze as her ears pinned back, a growl crawled itself up Cricketpaw's throat, muted to all but herself. Whisperstep was needlessly punishing Thunderpaw. She'd gladly take on his punishment knowing he didn't do anything to fuel the fire between the warrior apprentices. "Are you even listening to yourself?" Insubordinate to Whisperstep's words, the smaller black apprentice shot back, "Thunderpaw wasn't part of it. Punish me all you want but Meadowpaw and Smudgepaw both saw he had nothing to do with it!" Already in trouble, there wasn't anything she could do to get out of it, yet aggression wasn't the answer either, something she couldn't see as the younger cat was blinded by her own aversion. "Go ahead." Thrashing her tail violently as she spoke knowing she would regret her words, the only point of their conversation now was Cricketpaw getting in the last laugh. She would be a warrior eventually, it didn't matter when. "I meant what I said and I won't take it back, Berrypaw ran off at the first sign of trouble, I'm sure she'll run off in battle too." Hissing her words in retaliation, Cricketpaw's actions were both stupid and brutal. Only a storm of trouble would come her way. She wouldn't apologize either. "If you would really trust Berrypaw, a cat who's been here for only two moons, over someone like Meadowpaw or me I really hope you realize your crazier than a fox in a fit!" Throwing in a final insult, the apprentice turned tail into the den, ready to take out even more pent up anger on the first cat who dared bother her about her new duties.

The tall she-cat’s ears kept standing straight up as she looked at the tom, “What are you doing on Fireclan territory?” Berrypaw asked, more confident this time. Dear Starclan, this is beyond scary—he’s much older than me and clearly rough, she thought to herself. “I’m Berrypaw, apprentice of Fireclan. My mentor is nearby,” She paused. “Again, what are you doing here? I can smell that you aren’t a clan cat,” She hissed—even though she was scared.

“I’m definitely not alone, I just veered off a bit ways. My mentor will be coming by soon,” Berrypaw tried to lie; clearly not doing well. The blue she-cat’s fur on her back stood up more as she saw the tom slash his tail aggressivly, she did so in response. Berrypaw’s claws unsheathed but instantly felt bad as she heard him ask to leave her alone—she knew what it was like to be messed with as a rogue. She sheathed her claws but still kept her stance, “As long as you get off Fireclan territory, I’ll leave you alone.” She meowed, trying to be polite. “How long have you been here?” She asked.

Catching Doestep's smile, Burnshadow found himself returning one right back, his dark orange eyes following her all the way to the fresh-kill pile. Even though the she-cat's smile was a short one as she passed by him, he couldn't help that his smile grew a bit wider and remained on his face as he kept his gaze on her. The first cat to acknowledge him since he been out of the warriors den, of course this would be his reaction. It wasn't weird was it? Personally, Burnshadow figured this was a normal reaction towards a clan mate. Growing some guts the tom began to walk over to the she-cat at the fresh-kill pile, making his last steps end at the side of her. "Hello, Doestep. Lively morning isn't it?" He meowed, a light chuckle coming out afterwards, glancing at the group of apprentices

When the deputy of Fireclan came over, the tom was flushed with relief. That is until she started giving out punishment to every single apprentice without knowing the full story of what happened, thus resulting in getting himself in trouble with the rest of them. At first it made him quite angry as she came over and began to spout her unjust punishments, then again it could just be his own opinion branching out on the matter. In a way, the medicine cat apprentice just could not get by her decisions for the bickering that went down.

Ready to present his side of the story in defense to being thrown in the mix for trying to play peace keeper, the tom only looked to Cricketpaw when she started to speak before him. A warm feeling washed over as the words that came out the she-cat's mouth about him being innocent, everything that she was saying caused the large tom to appreciate her even more in this moment. He couldn't ask for someone better to defend him. Not that he needed it, but it was always a nice thing to know that there is someone who had your back in the clan. He wouldn't let her go down alone that and that was something he couldn't live with if he did. They were in this together at the end of the day. She came to his aid and now he'd come to hers.

At first all Thunderpaw could do was watch as the event of things began to unfold by the second, building up to a climax. Cricketpaw was angry and it clearly showed, the she-cat was letting up. Honestly, Thunderpaw couldn't blame her for getting to this point when not a single soul's side was told. "Cricketpaw, it's okay. She's the deputy and her decision is likely final. Because I share this punishment with you, I'll take it. I won't let you be the only one enduring it." Thunderpaw stood by her side, nudging his head to her shoulder, showing sympathetic eyes. "Now what kind of friend would I be?" If she went further down into a grave that she was digging then he'd be going right along, like it or not. They could talk about the aftermath of the situation later. On the matter of her other opinion that involved, Berrypaw, he had no say in it nor has he ever thought much about the topic of having non-clan born cats here in the clan with them. As a medicine cat, he had to stay neutral.

The silvery she-cat had been weighing up her breakfast options when her ears flicked to take in the sound of someone approaching, her amber eyes flicked to the side and she returned the warm smile of the tom who had stopped alongside her. ”Good morning Burnshadow, it certainly seems that way! I think the fall out from the tornado is getting to everyone slightly...” Doestep’s gaze slid to where the apprentices were looking rather shell shocked having just been berated and she couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for them. Everyone was on edge following the incident and it meant that cats were overprotective of the clan. Whisperstep surely wanted to rebuild the clan as strongly as possible and as a result of this was taking in-fighting seriously. Hopefully this would be enough to deter the apprentices from bickering further. Doestep shook her head softly, it was not for her to get involved in.

She turned her gaze back to Burnshadow with a friendly smile, ”I was about to grab myself something to eat, would you care to join me?” she asked with a purr as she selected a vole from the fresh kill pile. She could use the company and she was fond of Burnshadow, the tom was a couple of moons older than herself so they had risen through the ranks at similar times and Doestep had always enjoyed spending time with him. Perhaps they would be sent on a patrol by Whisperstep seeing as they were both up and ready to go.

Burnshadow couldn’t agree more with what Doestep was saying to him, the memory of the tornado still fresh as if it happened yesterday. Though it happened a few moons ago, it was still a devastating turn of events. No one could have been properly prepared for it, impossible. Many were affected and there wasn’t a doubt about how troubling the aftermath would be.

Resuming back to the present he shook his thoughts away of the tornado and scolded himself, he was to focus on the ‘now’ and his time being spent with his den mate. “I’d love to. It beats just idling around by myself.” He said, enjoying how the conversation is going with the she-cat, his tail even swayed side to side with ease to show some pleasure. Other than Doestep, who he shared dens with most of his life compared to some of the other warriors, he didn’t mind being around her at all. Sometimes the others would bug him, but really her and he was content with that. “It’d be a shame if everyone didn’t calm down soon. Just think how the patrols could turn out if we continue to fight with each other all the way out of camp,” he snorted and flattened his ears slightly, imaging how the turnout could be.

She flicked her ears little unsure what to say, but she needed to respond to something "hm, I don't know, but for apprentices...I don't think that will happen so often, so maybe lots of duties for them so they don't have much energy for that kind of argument..." she meowed. She then got silent for a moment "for the clan...well I think only a time will help us with that one..." she meowed silently.

She blinked her eyes, as she looked at the she-cat "This part of the forest belongs to Fireclan, you're trespassing it..." she meowed to her keeping her calm tune. She didn't have any interest to get into an argument or a fight with this stranger as she didn't have much fighting skills, only some basic moves she knew "I am alone at the moment, but there is more in here, they could come by run if I called for them" she meowed "I just hope that's not going to be a case now" she added.

He got out of the camp, stopping for a small fallen branch to think where he could go next to look for the runaway apprentice Berrypaw 'great, where did that mouse brain run to? What I could do in a situation like she is?' he started to wonder 'I could try to run far as possible, maybe out of the territory? but could she be that stupid?´ he keeps thinking shaling his head then 'Nah, only I could...' he sighed. Taking a long deep breath of the upcoming wind he tracked the Berrypaw's scent trail, which was still there, luckily she was being careless, and was easy to follow her "the river...hah found... another one?' he stopped when scented another cats smell too, this cat was not familiar to him at all. He got closer, but not enough for them to see him, but he did see them, a smirk come to his mouth as he started to think how to scare the stranger tom away "Grrooowww!" he did, trying to sound large and strong, but still hid behind the bushes, hoping that the tom could believe he being some big tom and could run away like a rabbit.
