The human managed to keep his hold on Luna as he shook Sapphire off. (I was thinking of having Khali save her)

Sapphire ell to the ground, she shook herself and went back to Tiger, "The human is too strong, I can't free Luna. Maybe Khali can help her?" She thought out loud.

Khali stood completely still for a minute, terrified. He'd managed to jump away from the path of the human, but, now he was fretting again. ' Luna! It has Luna! This isn't good, not at all! ' The small cat's fears wher comming to life. Luna was brave, she'd saved Tiger from the human's grip, and now it had her. All while Khali stood frozen, pathetically. ' Am I really that useless? Am I this bad at being a fighter, that I can't get past a fear? ' The tom's eyes began to drift slowly toward the ground. To be this scared of a human, certainly he didn't belong with the others. Khali, knowing this, wanted to turn tail and run. ' What am I saying? I'm not just a poor little house-pet thats lost in the city. I'm wild! I'm a stray! I don't belong to any clumsy human, they won't control me! '


Ruffling his fur, Khali's eyes narrowed to slits and he charged after Luna. As soon as he saw the human, the tom let out a hiss. Springing up, Khali graped hold of the human's arm with his claws and clamped down with his teeth onto the human's elbow."Let go of her, you crazy human!" He hissed, as if there was any chance of it understanding him.

The human released Luna and stumbled back. His eyes bugged and he turned and ran.

Luna hit the ground hard. She groaned and opened her eyes to emerald green slits. Tiger nudged her worridly.

Sapphire ran over to Luna, "Are you ok?" She asked, eyes wide with worry.

Luna rose shakily to her paws. She tried to put weight on her left forepaw and it nearly buckled. She smiled at Sapphire through the pain and nodded. "I'll be fine. Khali, thank you." She gave him a genuine smile.

Sapphire saw that Luna had hurt her front paw, "No you're not ok, come on, we have to go back to the warehouse." She said, worried about her mentor.

Tiger nodded thoughtfully. "You should get that paw looked at." He paused. "I guess it goes without saying that battle training is canceled." He added.
Luna shot him a dry glare.

"Luna, can me and Tiger train by ourselves?" Sapphire asked her mentor, curiously.

"Stay close to the warehouse and out of sight of those humans." Luna nodded. She limped back to the fence. Despite her injury, she managed to spring gracefully onto a trash can and then onto the fence.
