Sage lifts her head and sniffs while Alec is enjoying his meal. She sniffs the air and detects another dog. She cautiously sniffs deeper, to find out that it is the same dog she had met earlier. She goes back to eating, satisfied that there was no real danger.
Leesa wanders around for a while. The sun is up, but she's not sure if she should eat first or find a place to sleep. Both sounded pretty good. She settled on finding food when she came across a young human, she couldn't be older than five, who was holding a fistfull of french fries. The little human saw her and squealed in delight. She threw her food at Leesa, who at it quickly. The Small human reached into a bag and grabbed another fistful of fries, and threw those at Leesa too. The Small one's mother turned around them and gasped in shock. "No Marci, we don't feed the mangy strays our lunch." The little girl squeeled when her mother picked her up. "Pretty DOGGIE!" She wailed. Leesa jumped as the tone of the little human's voice peirced her ears. She turned tail and ran away, into an ally between an italian restraunt and a shoe shop.
