Kyanos looked at her. He wondered if he shoiuld follow, if he wasn'ty gonna eat the elk that he helped kill. That he playued a big part in killing. Would Adsila keep him from a meal? He was very skinny, and it was Winter food was scarce.

Nima took another piece and ate it as slowly as the first. The bitter taste of the blood and the warmth of the meat was different from the iron taste of a fish. She was careful not to get too much blood on her fur while she ate.
