||Survival of the Fittest [Wolf RP]||
Wolf packs have been driven south out of the tundra lands by hunger caused by unusually heavy snow. This is putting extreme pressure on the herd populations between Esterlake and Eastmount. Invading wolf packs are starting border conflicts with existing pack territories. Disruption of pack hierarchies is creating a large number of lone wolves and splintered pairs. Human contact has become more frequent also, due to recent new settlement in the forested area between these two population centers and the increasing wolf attacks on cattle.
Wolves do not pose a direct threat to people in this area; however activity such as hunting, trapping or baiting wolves may result in elevated risk given the current population shifts.
In order to help keep track of the existing and incoming wolf packs and loaners we will have to rely on fields notes submitted by local residence or travelers to fill in the pack profiles.
