mountain a half-moon's travel from the desert. one day, heavy rogue scent was found outside of their territory,
and before they had time to formulate a plan, ridgeclan was attackwd. more rogues than they could count
flooded their camp in the dead of night, killing every warrior they could get their claws on. ridgeclan's leader,
boulderstar, managed to escape once she realized that the rogues were not killing the elders or kits. rallying
these groups, she fled the territory, abandoning it to the rogues.

days later, boulderstar succumbed to her wounds, leaving the remnants of her clan to fate. with her dying breath,
she named a new leader and urged them to find a new home and settle the clan. the elders knew they needed
to go someplace where they would not be found, so they headed towards the landscape of their nursery stories:
the desert. once there, they realized it was up to them to train the kits into worthy warriors and reconnect with
starclan. they renamed themselves duneclan, and are doing their best to adapt to this unforgiving place.

now, the young duneclan cats have grown and are ready to run the clan themselves. the current leader is old and
grizzled, and they believe they are far too old to be leading the clan now. some believe they should wait for a sign
that the leadership can be handed off to a younger duneclan warrior, while others want to make the change them-
selves. tensions are beginning to rise, and the oldest members worry that duneclan will fall apart before it can
truly begin to thrive.
