Kyra laughed and smiled. "Forever I hope." She said playfully, then decided to be bold. "I'm going to love you forever." She said, nuzzling him.

"and i will love you forever too." Jake says happily.

"Good," Kyra said with a sigh of relief and contentment. She was glad he would, she'd hate to find herself being cheated on. It would be a heartbreak she couldn't bear.

Jake smiles and laughs. Then he sighs thinking about Tasha.

"So, is this you're first time?" Kyra asked, noticing Jake's look of wistfulness. "Or have you fallen in love before?" She asked, slightly afraid of the answer. How she would hate to learn she was the second wolf Jake had loved, she'd hate it more if she learned he still had feelings for the other she-wolf.

"umm no. But the first wolf I 'loved' was forced upon me. In my old pack your mate was chosen by the alphas and you had to mate with them when ever the alphas said so or when you chose to which rarely happened." Jake says sadly

"That sounds horrible," Kyra said with a look of disbelief and horror. "Not being able to choose who you want to mate with." She still disliked the idea that she would probably not the first she-wolf to bear his pups, when that time came.

"yes. Well we were chosen to mate and we did and then she mated with someone else. The alphas found out and tortured her. Then the day the pups were born they drowned her. And abandoned her pups." Jake says.

Kyra looked at her mate with new eyes.The scene he described to her was horrific, something that should only have played out only in nightmares. "Did they live?" She asked, horror evident in her voice.

"one did. The other 5 I am not sure about. Two were drowed as well." Jake says.
