ferretwing stopped in his tracks, and remaining silent, lifted his head and opened his mouth to take in the scents. rainpaw was definitely not alone, but he couldnt quite recognize the second smell. it appeared as thunderclan’s, and that was all he could tell. he nosed through the nearby bushes, scanned the trees, and tried to search for the missing apprentice’s paw prints. he caught sight of a trail of prints leading towards the thunderpath and his pelt spiked with anxiety. he had a creeping suspicion that rainpaw was still out that way.

“waspstrike,” he said, “the thunderpath. he went to the thunderpath.”
