Bounding to the top of the dumpster, Scarlett stretched and twirled in a circle before curling into a comfortable position. She shivered from the chilling sensation on her paw-pads. Out reaching her paws she layed her head on them, framing her head to see a dismembered box. Giving a long sigh she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

Kallie opened her eyes. A shadow loomed over her, and she felt claws dig into her hind leg. She yelped, and jumped up.
"Idiot!" She heard a snarl, and stepping out of the shadows a huge rottweiler. He growled at her, barring his teeth. "You give the rest of the bread to him? Did you forget out deal?" he kicked her in the stomach. "You give us half of your food share, and we don't kill you." Two other dogs, one a pit bull the other a mutt, padded beside him with narrowed eyes.
Kallie crouched down, her eyes flat against her ruffled head.
"Got it?" He demanded, kicking her. She gasped, and nodded. "Y-Yes."
"Good. You'd better have food for us tomorrow, or your dead Kallie." He turned and lead the other two dogs out of the ally, leaving her lying there.

De yawned and looked around. She padded past a few garbage cans, not bothering to see what's inside. Dez heard a ruckus earlier, but ignored it, so she kept walking and turned a corner
