“Well you ran off on your own because you thought what happened to dad was your fault. I was going to check on you anyway but dad told me it’s not your fault. You couldn’t have known Scourge would hurt dad. If you want I’ll join you in your dreams just to make sure you have a good night sleep. Please stop blaming yourself. I’m sure dad doesn’t want you all upset about something no kit could stop.” Sandkit said, nuzzling her sister and purring softly. “I’ll do anything to keep you safe, even in your dreams. That’s what family does. They care for each other and do what they can to help.”

“Preston why don’t we let Tiny play mossball with you, me and Frecklekit?” Fern suggested. The best way to learn was by playing mossball. If he said no she would probably go and do something else. She would visit Skarr if he wasn’t sleeping.

If a kit got hurt as bad as their dad there was no way she could be an apprentice. “Fine I’ll leave if he shows up. Just be extra careful around him.” Sandkit said.

Tiny spotted a bit of moss on the ground. She dug her claws in it and ripped it out of the ground. The camp moss felt weird in her paws but she stuck the moss on her head and then shook her head to toss it to fern "catch fern" she yelled
