Moonpaw was so excited that they were finally going! She ran alongside Ravenleaf as the warrior pointed out the different areas in the territory. The Sandy Hollow was first and it looked like the perfect place to train! It was big, so there was lots of space to train!

Next was the Burrows. Ravenleaf explained to her that that was where the rabbits were and therefore where cats learned to hunt! Moonpaw didn’t care as much about hunting, but she knew it was still important to feed everyone.

Then they ran to Twolegplace. By then, Moonpaw was huffing with all the running. This territory was big! She looked up at the familiar shapes. That was where she used to live! She turned back to her mentor as she told her about a rogue named Slash. Slash?She thought to herself. I have never heard of him. Well, if Ravenleaf was worried he must be dangerous.

Then, finally Ravenleaf mentioned training! Yes! She grinned from ear to ear at the praise. Ravenleaf didn’t know her very well, but already knew she’d be a great warrior! That meant it was sure to come true! She was still smiling as her mentor ruffled her fur. “I will do my best!”

She raced after her mentor, her energy renewed. She was ready to learn to fight!

Hawkfeather watched Ravenleaf show Moonpaw around the camp and thought fondly of when he first became an apprentice. he flicked his tail as they dashed out of camp and then streached before standing and makign his way out of camp as well. HE should be donig somethign productive, not just lay around in the sunshine.

Moonpaw was ready! Ravenleaf said the move was easy, but Moonpaw was not too nimble. She was surprised when Ravenleaf slashed at her chest with sheathed paws and then jumped to get her back. She was ready to try the cool move!

Moonpaw turned and slashed with sheathed claws at Ravenleaf. Then she jumped over her head, but fell halfway and landed on top of Ravenleaf! "Oh, sorry!"

Ravenleaf fell to the ground and started laughing. "It's ok. Wanna know somwthing, I did this exact same thing my first time with this move to my father and he told me, don't worry, you'll get the move down. Here, why don't u try it again, but this time I crouch a little. We'll work on the height later." Ravenleaf stood up and noticed something in the bush. She turned to Moonpaw and said, "stay where ur u r, there's something in the bush. In case its dangerous, I don't want u to get hurt." Ravenleaf's pelt was bristling as she looked over the bush. Before she could see what was in there, a paw wacked her in the head and Ravenleaf fell to the ground.

Lily noticed aa black cat coming towards her and a small cat standing there in the sandy hollow. As the black cat peered over, she slashed her paw on her head and the cat fell to the ground. She checked her kits. The brown kit, named Preston and the tortoiseshell kit, named Fern, were mewing for more milk. She shushed the kits and she noticed what looked to be an older kit staring at the bush. Lily arose from the bush and hissed at the young kior whatever it was. She noticed they were clan cats and put one paw with claws out to make the young or older kit become scared. She smiled and then chuckled.
