indent↳ Sobek jolted at hearing a voice behind her and apologetically moved out of the doorway. “I’m not familiar with a lot of the prey myself, but dried lizards are always a good option”, she flashed the new dragon a small smile. She subconsciously size up the tattooed sandwing that had joined her in the doorway her mind already weighing her chances in a fight. She fought the urge to hiss at herself for that line of thinking reminding herself she wasn’t in the scorpion den anymore, and not every unfamiliar dragon was a threat. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Sobek”.

Cautiously, Orion peeked around the building he and his sister were now expected to live in. It was spacious, and there were sounds of others not too far away.

He glanced again at the paper with the roommate assignments, grunting again as he glanced at his sister. "I still don't like it."

As the older of the two, he'd made the decision not to come here. They'd done fine on their own so far. They didn't need any of this. But his sister had promptly ignored him and set out, and he would rather die than let anything happen to her. So here they were now.

Blanchefleur rolled her eyes. Again.

"It doesn't matter what you like, big brother," She chided. "Of course they separated everyone by gender. If it were co-ed you'd tear apart the first male to so much as breathe my way. This is all for the best. I promise."

Unlike her sibling, she'd been delighted to learn about this place. Having had no one but Orion for so long, there was so much she didn't know. The only reason she knew what tribe she was from was because Orion had somehow remembered it, but they knew nothing about what it was like, or anything about any of the other tribes. Sure they'd been getting along just fine, but that didn't mean this was all there was to life. And she desperately wanted to learn what was out there.

She could faintly smell prey in the same direction that conversation was coming from. So, she cautiously took off in that direction, hearing her brother follow behind her.

If it was just luck that a Sandwing and a... Part Sandwing just walked in she considered her self pretty lucky. She finished her sheep and took a few dried lizards over.
"Hi" she said, "I'm Cactus" she took out the dried lizards and offered them each.
"I find dried lizards the best" she suggested, "Sheep are to chewy"

Tanager looked towards all the others gathering food and smiled. Now this was the life! He saw Owl, the other Skywing grab a mountain goat and come towards him. He was so glad that there was another Skywing, even if he had never even known other Skywings. It would be good to learn about his birthplace. Plus, Owl seemed like a nice dragon so far. He smiled his award winning smile and looked towards her. "I'm Tanager, but you probably heard that already." He laughed heartily. "It must have been destiny for us all to meet up like that in that hall!" He leaned closer. "And let me just say, your beauty is radiating towards me like a beam of sweet sunshine." He winked and leaned back again. "So, how did you end up coming here?"

Princess Snipe felt stunned. No one had ever talked to her this way! She was used to being obeyed! The dragon angrily turned bright red and shouted at Snipe. Petty little feuds? Don't pick a fight with me? Oh, that rainbow fluff would learn. What would the Rainwing do? Throw a sloth at her face? She kept a composed face, but plotted to show that dragon exactly what she could do. THEY WOULD ALL LEARN!

The poor Nightwing looked so awkward. Then, he too walked out on the Princess. She lifted one of her rubies from her green shoulder bag and whispered towards it. "They will learn what happens when you anger an animus AND a princess."

Smiling back at the dragon, he nodded at the choice of dried lizards. "Can never go wrong with 'em." As Sobek introduced herself, he opened his mouth to say his name as well, but his attention was immediately caught by the other Sandwing. She'd introduced herself as Cactus, bringing over some dried lizards. "Wonderful to meet the both of you, I'm Mohave." He smiled even wider, thankful that the sight of other Sandwings was common enough. Desperate to learn more about his newfound acquaintances, a few questions while they ate couldn't hurt. "So, where are you two from in the Sandwing kingdom? Or are you possibly from somewhere else?"

An Icewing promising to talk with her later? Perhaps he wasn't a complete ice cube, though it didn't change how he treated the Rainwing. "When that happens, I'll make sure I'm not busy doing something else," Truthseeker replied, carefully heading out of the library. Glancing at a clock in the hallway, it made sense to head to her room and finally meet those dragons. But as she walked, there were thoughts of....definite anger and rainbow fluff? No particular names were mentioned, so it could be some other Rainwing. At least she hoped it was someone else. "Perhaps I should recheck the location of the room on that map. Especially since that Rainwing was thinking of changing her room," Truthseeker thought. She attempted to quietly walk past the cave, not wanting to disturb the plotting dragon inside.

Monsoon looked around at the talking dragons. The Skywings were talking, so were the Sandwings, and if he remembered correctly there should have been multiple Rainwings and Nightwings. He wasn't sure if there were multiple Icewings when the Rainwing from earlier tossed some scrolls on the table and mumbled something about changed room assignments. He took one and began reading, noticing another Seawing. Princess Barbados? He sighed. No Princess would want to interact with a commoner like him.

Mamba didn't want to talk right now. Clearly some dragonets didn't appreciate warnings. She scooted past the Sandwings near the doorway, noticing Cactus and handing her a scroll with the newest room assignments. She walked up to the group of them eating and put a few scrolls on the table. "They're the changed assignments," she mumbled, grabbing a mango and going out of the prey centre. Today wasn't a total disaster, but with all the angering events, she just wanted some time to rest.

Owl smiled at Tanagers comment, he definitely was a lively dragon, He had a colorful way of talking
that made you pay attention to his words. "I'm just happy to find another Skywing."
She didn't want to push too much on his scales, it probably was a sensitive topic and she didn't want to
make it uncomfortable. "I came from the palace, once word of the school got around my
parents didn't hesitate to send me packing." Owl shrugged lightheartedly, "So where
are you from? I've never seen you around the sky kingdom before."

Caribou let out a light chuckle at the Nightwings comment, unsure whether to take it seriously or as sarcasm.
Mindlessly, the Icewing browsed through the shelves of books in the empty library, consciously aware of the
setting sun visible through the 'windows' in the large room."Sucks I never got her name." He mumbled under
his breath, almost unaware that he made the comment out loud.

Tanager felt like beaming when Owl smiled. He was glad she seemed to like him! Then she said she was happy to meet another Skywing. Tanager felt a little awkward at that. Most dragons didn't think of him as a Skywing. They called him names sometimes like half-breed or night scum. Just because he had black scales didn't mean he was a Nightwing! He continued to listen, about how Owl came here. Her parents just sent her here? The female Skywing shrugged, but Tanager wondered if she was bothered by that fact. She asked where he was from and he got ready to tell his story.

"Well, I didn't actually grow up in the Sky Kingdom. I think I hatched there, but I don't know. I kind of just learned to figure things out on my own and mostly grew up in the multi-Tribe city outside the Sand Kingdom. Now, I live there as the manager of a small shop owner by the wonderful Palm! We have this small apartment above the shop where Palm let's me stay in exchange for work. It's a small city, so everyone knows everyone." He dramatically leaned back and closed his eyes. "It might not be a palace, but it's home. Plus, everyone calls me Manager Tanager! It's kind of a running joke."

caelum sighed as his stomach growled. he kind of regretted dipping to go back to his dorm, especially because he hadnt eaten for a while. it seemed that his roommates were all elsewhere. he got up, deciding to go to the prey hall after all. maybe he wouldnt have to interact with anyone.

when he reached the prey hall, he snagged a mountain goat to eat. turning around, he spotted one of his roommates, owl. Oh, she's kind of pretty, he thought to himself. he decided to introduce himself to her and the other dragon she was talking with.

"Hi," he said awkwardly to her and Tanager.
