The journey began as they usually do, as the medicine cats padding over the hill to towards the moon den when an apprentice stopped and yowled. The medicine cats looked around, but seeing nothing amiss turned back to the young cat.
“What's wrong?” they asked
“The stars,” She replied, “T-their falling!”
The medicine cats turned their gaze to the sky and gasped, for indeed the night sky was streaked with falling stars. They ran the rest of the way to the moon den, wanting to converse with their ancestors as to what this sign meant. When they arrived however star clan was silent as the grave.

Fernclan has lived in the center of a large forest for as long as anyone can remember. Sheltered by large ferns, their camp is well hidden from rogues and predators alike and no other clans to compete with, they have lived in relative peace for a long time. That is, until a new enemy sweeps through the clan in the form of red cough, a new sickness thought to come from an influx of rogues from the nearby town. As the medicine cats struggle to keep up with the number of sick cats they turn to their ancestors for help only to find that they have fled with the falling stars

Current: It has been about 40 moons following the cats of starclan’s sudden disappeared, since then the medicine cats have only been able to contact the cats that have passed after that fateful night, which they are now calling the Star Fall. The threat of red cough has finally disappeared, having taken most of the clans old and weak with it. As a new generation of cats steps up to repair the damage they are left to wonder, what happened to starclan all those moons ago.

Soo what the cats don’t know is that cats from both starclan and the dark forest haven’t disappeared, they’ve been reincarnated back into the clans with no memories of their former lives. Enough time has passed since the star fall that most of these cats are warriors and have no idea they are any different from any of their clan mates, though they do sometimes get a vague sense of dejavu or other things like if they drowned having an irrational fear of water would be ok too! Please try to keep it subtle! I don’t want them or the clans to figure out what's happened right away. Write lizard in the other section if you read this. Another side note is that the reincarnated cats can’t be over 40 moons old since before that they were in starclan.

Information on clan territory! still working on drawing the map


1. Camp. Located near the center of the forest, Fernclan’s camp is essentially and overgrown glade. Large ferns block out most of the sky and create an almost maze like environment for anyone trying to reach the clan from below.

2. The forest. Taking up the majority of FernClan’s territory the forest is made up mostly of pine trees. There are a few twoleg trails that the cats try to avoid whenever possible. The prey here is mostly small rodents and squirrels. Competing for prey, the forest is also home to foxes, owls and hawks.

3. The river. Running through Fernclan in a slow moving river. It can be treturouse after a good storm but crossing it is the only way to reach the meadow. It’s pretty rare to catch a fish but occasionally a warrior will get lucky. All warriors are taught how to swim as apprentices but few choose to cross the river regularly enough to maintain this skill. Considered the border to Fernclan territory

4. The meadow. Technically just outside of Fernclan’s territory, the meadow is considered to be neutral ground. Warriors are still allowed to hunt there but they must be wary of rogues and other predators that frequent the area. The meadow is one of the most abundant sources of prey as it is home to a large population of rabbits.
(Warriors are still allowed to go to the meadow but they don’t own it. Rouges are often seen hunting here and the warriors are told to ignore them and only attack if provoked. It is considered a sacred place of starclan since it is one of the only places around were the whole sky is visible.)

5. Moonden. Just passed the meadow is the hollowed out stump of an ancient tree. The wood has long since become hard like stone and is said to glissen in the moonlight. It is the most sacred place for the clan and is were they are closest to starclan. The medicine cats travel here once a moon to speak with their ancestors. On rare occasions a medicine cat will travel to the moonden with an warrior and allow them to speak with a member of starclan, usually only to achieve some sort of closure. Should a warrior sneak over there alone they might feel a familiar presence but will be unable to speak, see, or share dreams with them without a medicine cats guidance. This is also were the clan leader is given their nine lives.
(The rogues/loner avoid this place and almost never enter. Should a non clan cat to enter the moonden and try to seek shelter there for the night as soon as the stars begin to appear in the sky their ears will echo with ghostly whispers and be overcome with a sense of cold fear.)

6. Two leg territory. A little past the clans border is an dirt parking lot that is connected to the two leg paths that run through the forest. Past that are some houses and a neighborhood filled with dogs, kittypets, and two legs. Warriors are forbidden from traveling there without good reason.

7. Rouge territory. Just passed the meadow is another stretch of forest. It is wilder than the clans territory. Without a clan to drive the majority of predictors away it is both more dangerous than the clans territory and has less prey because of competition with other animals. Warrior are not allowed to go there unless given special orders from the leader.
