Mossleap yawned as she made her way out of the warriors den. Once in camp she stretched and then glanced around to see who was up. "It seems I'm up earlier than most of my denmates this morning," she meowed to herself before deciding to groom her shoulders.

Ivypaw was curled up into a small ball in her nest. She was awake but not quite ready to leave the apprentices' den. "I should probably get up," she muttered softly as she slowly uncurled herself. She quickly flattened the fur on her shoulders and chest before leaving the den. She started to head over to her mentor when she noticed that he was busy talking to Vixenshadow so decided to take a seat next to the apprentices' den instead.

“Okay. You and Mossleap be careful out there. I know I don’t have to tell any cat that. I just really care for our clan.” Snowstorm said smiling. She was sure Frostwhisper would pick hunting over herb gathering. Mostly because she thought the warrior was a great hunter. She turned to Driftstep. “Could you two go see if Dovemist and Smokepelt would like help collecting herbs? They could be low on herbs for all we know. If they are, they won’t be able to help if any cat were to get injured or sick.” She said.

“Well we can never have too many herbs. We have many cats who may need help from time to time.” Smokepelt said, taking her duty as a medicine cat apprentice very seriously. She tried not to get too excited at the thought of tagging along to collect herbs. “Really? I’d be glad to tag along. Two cats could bring back more herbs than one.” She said, hoping Dovemist took no offense.

Talonstripe glanced over at Ivypaw as she came out of the den, so the shecat decided to join her. The shecat stood up, stretched her legs, then walked over to the apprentice. She sat down beside the younger shecat. "Hello there." She said with a friendly look in her eyes. "Looks like today's going to be a fun one... good or bad type of fun." She said as slight amusement glimmered in her eyes. She curled her tail around her paws as she looked up at the sky.

Vixenshadow nodded at the large tom. His words made sense, there was not much they could do but be prepared. StarClan would watch over the two Clans and hopefully LightningClan would respect that. For now, they should just focus on training and patrols. The best they could do was to prepare the next generation for anything and get them trained up.

"You are right, we need to prepare. And the best way to prepare is training up our young." She paused and felt herself stand a little taller at her next words. "I think every cat should help train up Ivypaw and Briarpaw. That would give them extra battle training and give the warriors more practice. They are the next generation and will need all the training they can get."

She finished and looked at Stormstar. She felt her ginger pelt flare up in the sun like a fire and swept her fluffy tail over the soft grass. She had had this idea for a while, but never really acted on it. But with the Gathering coming up, she felt it was best. Vixenshadow hoped the fluffy gray cat agreed with her.

Indigoswirl made a small "oof" sound as she felt a small thump against her back. The cream cat who had run into her fell against the ground and Indigoswirl couldn't help but laugh as the smaller cat laid on her back, clearly winded. She reached down to nose Owlpaw up and laughed. "This is the best spot to practice tree jumping. But if you are not careful, you'll fall! You'll have to feel light as a feather, drifting from branch to branch."

Nightstar stood up and padded over to Nettlepaw and Driftslip. “See where the herbs they need are. Because we are heading to the border to do a border patrol. I’d like raincloud to be apart of this patrol too,” she replied. She looked over to the medicine den. “If they need something closer to the border they can travel with us. If they need something closer to camp they’d be better with a hunting patrol.”

“That’s an excellent idea.” Snowstorm said, glad Nightstar had spoken up. Plus it really was a good idea. It certainly didn’t involve many cats which was good. Hopefuly the patrols went well.
