Seeing how far Lynxstep had gotten to the entrance when he had called out to him, he felt a bit guilty but nodded his head once. "Yes my den would be perfect," he told his medicine cat, walking him back inside of it. Once the two had settled, he took a deep breath, looking at Lynxstep as he needed to discuss his dreams but being a new leader and hadn't having this happen before he didn't know where to start. "So I've been getting these dreams... they all start the same but they keep getting longer. It's about the water in the lake. It seems over time? That it is going away? Is that even possible? I've never heard of the lake going dry not even in greenleaf."

Flowersong listened to the mother and daughter talk, smiling at them a bit before she glanced over at Bramblefrost as they approached. She nodded as her sister Oakpoppy pointed out that the pair of them were ready to go, getting up onto her paws and quickly stretching. When her mother nudged her gently towards Stormaller she blinked and got up onto her paws before telling her kin, "see you later." Pebbleclaw nodded as he listened to the fellow warrior explain what he had already been teaching Dovepaw, of course he knew they hadn't been training together long so he didn't expect a lot. "Well if she learns how to climb trees today she can use it for her advantage if we ever to have another battle. Hiding in trees is unexpected and can be used in sneak attacks," he told Tigerblaze. He glanced beside him seeing his apprentice joining them finally from the den and let out a soft purr. "We are going to train with Dovepaw today and work on climbing, perhaps some other training as well if Dovepaw is a quick learner and you get better at it. We'll probably pair it with working on using climbing trees to your advantage when you are hunting for prey that typically are in the trees such as squirrels and birds," he told his apprentice before glancing back at Tigerblaze. "Ready to leave?"

Foxcloud shook her head a bit, "I think it will stop not long after we start our patrol outside. Hopefully that happens not that I don't mind getting a little damp but it's not my favorite." She was just glad that their camp provided a lot of cover from being a cave but it still got damp and muggy at times when it would rain like today. She blinked when seeing Sandpebble and Lichenpaw heading out of the apprentice den. "Wonderful now let's head on out!"

Dewpaw had sighed when he noticed his mentor's encouraging smile and stretched some as he waited for the two mentors to finish up talking once he reached the small group of cats. He blinked as he glanced at Pigeonpaw when hearing the younger cat talking to him and nods slightly in greeting before glancing at his paws. Dewpaw rarely talked or had really any ambition but he knew he probably should at least a little bit to the new apprentice to make it seem he wasn't just ignoring her. xxxOwlmask almost smiled at his apprentice's words, it wasn't too much of a surprise that Houndpaw got close with Hazelpaw, being cooped up in the medicine den ought to make way for friendships like that. And he liked the idea that his apprentice would have a friend along, "In that case, we could ask Lynxstep if there's anything Hazelpaw should learn, or otherwise she could just watch us" Since medicine cat apprentices probably didn't need too many hunting skills, and more needed some combat knowledge to defend themselves, some basic battle and sparring exercises would be a good way, and he did find that teaching others was a great way to learn. "Though Lynxstep is busy with Rowanstar, so we should probably just talk to Hazelpaw for now" Pausing for a moment to glance at Stormcaller, he quickly realized that he had the morning free, leaving plenty of time for training.

Sandpebble and Lichenpaw seemed to arrive just seconds after she spoke, and the black she-cat turned her head with a nod to greet them, with everyone here, they could get a move on. The black feline seemed the brighten at Foxcloud's words, "Alright then! Finally..." the last word was whispered under her breath, she really didn't like waiting. The she-cat glanced at the group once more before stepping out of the cave they called camp, clearly unafraid of the rain.

xxxThe still young apprentice seemed to flinch on instinct, somehow the dark ginger tabby always seemed to spook the bicolor apprentice, the thought left him wondering how Dovepaw managed to handle such a mentor, or maybe he was just perceiving someone scarier than they are. His train of thought was interrupted by his mentor's words, which he lowered his head as he listened, he found ground hunting much easier and somehow. Though he said nothing, assuming he wasn't supposed to talk, but he did nod in acknowledgment, just to make sure his mentor knew he was listening.

xxxLeaping around the woods, Whisper had been awake for most of the latter half of the night, the cats seemed to be slightly less active at that time, so she tended to move more then, being spotted would cause more problems for her. The cats that lived were certainly interesting, in her eyes, though wouldn't living in large groups cause more issues? Sure they would have more hunters, but there's also more mouths to feed, and then the possibility of betrayal. It wasn't something she could see herself a part of just yet, though it was an interesting way of life. Climbing up to one of the more bushy trees she watched her surroundings, a small river, a huge moor were both in her field of vision, and she generally saw cats pass through there. Though she must admit, staying up for half a night was tiring, maybe she'll hunt for herself a bit later.

He nodded once again "Yes, we will see tomorrow morning again" he meowed to her, starting to make his leave to the medicine cats den, seeing that most of the patrols were heading out already 'well I could take a small snap now, maybe the pain could hold down a little bit more than' he thought himself, walking back to the warrior's den. A good thing to being a senior warrior was that most of the warriors didn't really bother him that much anymore and he had more time to be himself.

Hissing quietly in frustration, Hazelpaw gave up on trying to rack his brains and decided to just wait until his mentor came back. Softly walking out of the medicine cat den, he made a beeline for the prey pile, stomach rumbling. He picked out a small mouse, carried it over to a corner, settled down, and began eating, not really paying attention to what was going on around him.

Slightly mystified by the snippets of converstaion she caught, Willowcreek fought down the urge to be nosy. She instead just nodded at Sugarspring, and started off after Mistfall. "Did you guys have any hunting spots you wanted to go to?" she asked. She herself was not really sure where to go. It was a surprise that she had been asked to lead a patrol since there were so many other more experienced cats, but she was honoured nevertheless. Willowcreek hoped everything would go smoothly, and flicked her tail anxiously as she awaited a response.

ook his head and sighed. Sniffing the air, all he really caught was a raindrop in his eye and the other ca
ts with him. He bet that their markers would have washed away a good amount by the time they finishe
d their patrol.

"I hope so too." Selflishly, she was a bit glad she had been in the nursery for most of leaf-bare. Raising kits in the winter was hard, but it also meant she hadn't had to worry as much about catching prey. But she was glad that it would be coming back as the weather warmed up. "It's looking to be a nice day, so I'm sure there will be lots of prey around." She said with a purr.

Nettledusk nodded. "That's good, he's going to make a great warrior." She hoped that her own kit's training would be as good as Dewpaw's. And she hoped that she could be as good of a mentor to Pigeonpaw as well. "Thanks again for coming with us." She said as they neared the lake. "I think it's good for Pigeonpaw to work with an older apprentice, I think Dewpaw will probably help her learn better."

Mallowpaw followed close to Spiderwhisker as they made their way to the clearing. He looked around the area and nodded, listning to his mentor. "I'll keep my claws sheathed, of course." He mewed. He rolled his eyes a bit, he wasn't a kit, of course he knew that. But he didn't voice his annoyance. That wouldn't do him any good. "How about a leap and hold?" He replied. That seemed like a good battle move, and he was pretty good at leaping, or at least he thought so.

It was all Tigerblaze could do to keep his tail from twitching with annoyance as Pebbleclaw told him of the importance of learning to climb trees. Does he think I'm a kit or something? I already know all of this. But he tried to give the older tom the benefit of the doubt. Pebbleclaw was the oldest warrior of the clan, so it may have simply been habit of his to speak to others as if they were inexperienced or not as learned as he was. But I know he doesn't talk to Lightstar this way, he thought, letting his claws prick the earth beneath his paws. He could only hope that Pebbleclaw was explaining things more for the sake of their apprentices who were listening rather than for Tigerblaze. Glancing back at Russetpaw, he noticed how the apprentice had flinched at him, and even now seemed slightly unnerved by him. What's his problem? "Are you okay?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at the younger tom.

Batpaw stopped next to his mentor in front of Sweethoney's patrol. He nodded respectfully at the bob-tailed she-cat to greet her, and simply cast a curious glance at Adderfang and Sootnose, but made sure not to let his gaze linger too long. He couldn't exactly pinpoint why, but there seemed to be some sort of tension between the two toms, and it made him avert his gaze.

"Sure. Have fun!" Daisyface instinctively tried with her willpower to wave goodbye to Willowcreek with her tail, only to remember half a second later that she couldn't. She had waited until her friend to leave before letting out a sigh, allowing her cheerful demeanor to fade away. Her head rested on her paws and her ears lay flat against her head. If she didn't know any better, she would have thought Lightstar was trying to isolate her. Willowcreek was the one cat Daisyface was closest to, and it was only dawn. Why did she always have to be rushed off to a patrol or something, leaving Daisyface by herself? Oh well. I guess I should do something too. Spotting Saffronfang talking with Batpaw and Shudderheart, she rolled back onto her stomach and began making her way over to them, stopping at a respectable distance so as not to interrupt anything.

Softkit had been interested enough in mossball...until Sleekfang brought up stick-fighting. "What's stick-fighting? Can we try it?" she asked, her tail sticking up curiously. They had played mossball a lot, and while she still enjoyed it, she wanted to try a new game. Besides, if her mother had 'stick-fought' as a kit, then why couldn't she? She was sure she was just as strong as her mother was as a kit.

Southwind smiled, glad to see that Thunderpaw's mood had improved. If only I'd spent more time with him, he might be like this more often, and not nearly so serious, he lamented silently, but there was nothing to be done about it. Shaking the thought away, he padded off once again, and this time found a lark fluttering around the base of a tree. He caught it with ease, but just as he did so, another scent hit his nostrils--rabbit. Ears pricked, he quickly buried the lark and followed the new scent. Hunting had already been pretty easy that day, but if he could catch a rabbit, that would make his day even better.

Leafpelt flicked an ear as she led the two cats out, casting a glance back at Wingslash. "I can hear you, you know," she meowed at him. She kept her tone neutral, although it was possible to find annoyance in it if one tried. Still, she didn't seem offended as she slowed her pace so that she only walked a little bit ahead of Wingslash and Tumblebranch. "I was thinking up by the moor," she replied to Tumblebranch. "But what about you two?"

"Ready if you are," Bramblefrost meowed back before trotting out of camp, only slightly ahead of the two she-cats. "Oh, I'm sure it will be," he went on with a flick of his tail. "Especially with the rain. Well, I'm sure some prey will have been holed up in their dens...But it's not raining too hard now, I think we should have good luck." His gaze traveled upwards, to the pale gray morning sky that was just a bit darker than usual thanks to the rain clouds. "How's Minnowpaw doing?" he asked, changing the subject. "You know, as far as training goes."

The rouge was roaming about close to the AshClan border as she caught the scent of a mouse and her eyes scanned around for any incoming clan cats. She knew not to cross in front of those cats, while the clan was more accepting of rouges she doubted they'd want to share their prey with one. Once she deemed it safe, she crossed over into the territory without much of a second thought and followed the scent. While she could hunt outside the border, she had grown somewhat desperate for any piece of prey she could find. While she's gained a healthy amount of weight since she escaped from the group of rouges, she also has gained the urge to catch any prey she caught the scent of as she never wanted to be so weak ever again.

Once she caught sight of the mouse, the she-cat crouched down and made her way closer. She pounced and caught the mouse beneath her claw. She wasted no time as she was quick to nip it's neck and clench the limp mouse in her mouth, she headed back towards the border as she wasn't going to risk eating the mouse within Ashclan territory.

The apprentice gave a curt nod at her mentors greeting and seemed to completely ignore RussetPaws presence, she had no interest in training with another apprentice but of course she knew better than to speak her opinion. Thunderpaw moved closer to FireClan Territory and as he did heard pawsteps. A strange cat was padding along on AshClan Territory right near the border. Thunderpaw crouched creeping closer, he stayed out of eye-sight and downwind until he was close enough to pounce. He felt fur ridge upwards along his back as he saw she carried a mouse. Mistfall shook her head in response to Willowcreek. She shot her friend a look, hoping she would stay silent about cross-clan mates. Mistfall knew she would never say a word about what Sugarspring had said but Willowcreek might. The rest of the clan wouldn't like to know that they would be okay with breaking the warrior code.
