Etch looked back and flushed deep red, "Uh...Sorry 'bout that..." she whispered, a quirky smile painted on her black face. She continued running, more slowly. Her feet pounded the ground, her tail swishing back and forth behind her, "I love running." she confided, her eyes bright and happy.

"I can see that." Dustin said trying not to laugh. He matched her speed as they ran around the field.

Etch knew she would have to confess sometime, so she stopped, "Ihavetotellyousomething." she breathed without pausing, so it sounded like one word. She sat and closed her eyes, "Listen," she started. Her striped tail flicking anxiously.
