"Well, silly, the first step is to make sure your shadow doesn't fall over the water, because it'll scare away the fish." Piketooth teased. He gently guided her paw with his own. "Then, wait for a fish. You'll be able to see it under the water. Then, scoop it out of the water with your paw as quick as you can!" He mewed.

He watched his fellow clanmates gathering around for some patrols there, his eyes wandered for the apprentice to apprentice, but didn't see his own, Darkpaw anywhere. Standing up he walked toward the first free cat there, which was Oakstorm "Good morning Oakstorm, are you happen to see Darkpaw this morning?" he asked at him.

He öeft the patrol to hunt by himself, the group was too big to hunt together or at last catch, something and they were wasting time already. Swansong was being reckless to run after the rabbit and likely scared all the prey away nearby the group, so he didn't see any other option to go further away to find something.

She made her way back to the shadows of the warrior's den, staying near the entrance watching the clan silently, usually, she sleeps at this time of a day, but now she was not that tired. Sighing she waited for the sun to move elsewhere to the camp so she could start moving a little bit more.

"very good." he said, as encouragingly as possible. now she was getting it! is this what mentoring is like? piketooth wondered. while she attempted fishing, he deftly scooped a trout out of the water, falling back in surprise as its tail smacked him in the face. "Ack!" he spluttered ad the fish hopped back into the water.

Mountainfur opened his eyes to find himself in the warriors den. All the others had left, so the muscular tom sat up and began cleaning himself. Eventually he climbed out of his nest and into camps clearing. Mountainfur nodded hello to multiple cats that he passed. Finally he came to a stop at the fresh-kill pile, he pushed a fat rabbit out of the way, saving it for the queens or elders. Not much of a choice was left, he pushed away a stale blackbird and sparrow. A scrawny mouse lay at the bottom of the pile, Mountainfur carefully selected it and went of to sit and eat. Secretly he hoped that another cat would come and join him. Mountainfur let his icy blue gaze wash over the clearing, he took a tiny nibble of the cold, slightly stale mouse.

Tallcreek eyed the loners from where he stood for a moment, watching intently. He gave out a small, delicate purr at Ravenfur's response before trodding down the edge of the lake a few tail-lengths away, looking for any silver flashes of fish below the rippling surface. He kept his ears turned toward the deputy and her conversation, listening intently.

Crookedfoot sniffed around the medicine cats' den, examining each herb in stock. She began to take note of which ones were needed and which ones would last a little while longer yet. Some of the marigold had begun to dry out and become brittle. Unsure of whether or not it was still tangible, Crookedfoot lapped her tongue over it and nipped off one of the petals. A bitter, sour taste stung her tongue and she spat it out quickly with a face of disgust.

"Oh, I am so not about to chew that up any time soon. Nope, I don't care how bad that infection is! I am not chew that up and putting it on any wound!" She meowed to herself, completely taken aback by its potency. "Nope, nope, nope!" She continued to mutter, using her fluffy, plumed tail to sweep it out of the den. After that, Crookedfoot started to inspect the dock leaves. There was still some hydration within them and they kept their dark green hue, so she picked them up gently and tucked them away in a deeper part of the cave. This heat wave would surely dry out most of her supply! Even with them being in as far as they were, she still questioned how well protected they were and figured that if the sun kept up like it was, that shade alone wouldn't be enough. She narrowed her eyes, thinking intently.

Plant leaves dry up like mud puddles. They must need water so they don't dry up, too. She pondered, unsure if it was common knowledge for a cat or not. With curiosity, she bounded out of the medicine cats' den to go collect some moss. Heading out of the camp entrance, she started to trek through the forest for any kind of moss she could find.
