Oy, what a massive pain in the ass. The overseer of Rift's subsection had caught on to his shenanigans not even a week prior, and here he was, sneaking off to who knows where. It was really too bad. He kind of wished he could've taken his girl out with him, but she was a bit too much of a risk. Hell, he had no clue where he was headed anyway. Just getting the hell out of dodge, frankly.
There was no way he was going back to be bossed around. Liberty or death, yeah? But a lone SeaWing outside of his own territory was sure to grab some attention. He knew no NightWing wanted to be assigned the smelly fishing crew that were the SeaWings, and, more specifically, his and a couple other subsections. As a result, they usually took outside business themselves. Anything to get out of there.
A SeaWing out here, alone, was sure to grab some unwanted attention. He hovered by the border, unsure of what he was going to do. If he stepped over, he was officially a refugee. He'd heard of a resistance, sure, but... he had no clue where to start. The whole point of them was to stay hidden and unnoticed by any outsiders. And frankly, he wasn't too keen on the idea of being bossed around by some different guy from a different organization in the same way. He took a breath and dove into the river, pushing himself upstream.

"Aw, don't get cranky, Reaps," Sleet laughed. "You know I'm jack at hunting, anyway. I can help you, but there's no guarantee for anythin'." He shook out his tired wings, hearing the spikes rattle like chimes. The sun-warmed rocks of the Sky Kingdom felt like bliss on his talons. He wished it didn't. Why couldn't he have just been a normal IceWing? Maybe he'd have a damn choice in his own life.
But then you'd've never met Reaper, his mind whispered. And he supposed that was right.
He glanced toward the Sea Kingdom. Was his vision blurry? Squinting, Sleet caught sight of what could've only been a massive, swirling storm. From this high up, it couldn't have been much of a threat. But it was headed exactly where they would be ending up later that day, assuming they cut over the ocean. "Uhh. Reaps... that ain't lookin' good," Sleet said. They had their work cut out for 'em this time for sure. Too bad they had agreed to let the client wait till the job was done to pay.
