Shaleshard ran grief-stricken out of the den. "Both my beautiful sons... gone!" She collapsed onto the ground with tears in her eyes. "Minnowflicker." she mewed suddenly. She glared at Venomsplash with fear. "She can't be gone too!" All of my kits...

Tropicalkit swallowed. "Dad...?"
Scallopkit cried in distress and buried his nose in his father's fur. "How could this happen?" he cried.

Lemon dipped her head in grief. "Blizzardmask was a good cat..."

Flamemask looked at Venomsplash. What will OasisClan do now? he wondered.

Parsnippaw entered the camp, the grief lapping at her fur. She felt a dark sense of contempt. At least I'm not the only cat who's been hurt.

Olivepaw sighed. First her brother, then Mangoshine, and now the medicine cat. "I'll miss you, Blizzardmask." she whispered.

Frosftflower buried her nose into her father's pelt, before she looked up with a hiss. "We should get Scorpiandance back! She deserves to know what happened to her father, escpecially since she didn't kill Mangoshine!" she yowled.

[Solarizing]

As if on cue, the ginger she-cat walked into camp. "I'm here, Frost," she whispered. "Spiritstar told me what happened..."

Frostflower turned to Scorpiandance, with tears in her eyes. "He's gone...he's gone now..." she whispered in grief. Then she saw her sister's belly and saw no kits. "W-what happened to your kits Scorpian?" she whispered in her sister's ears.

Venomsplash looked at Shaleshard. "i am sorry." she mewed. "tonight we will sit vigil."

[Innocence]

Waterstep padded up slowly to her mate and leaned against him, trying to hide the pain.

Suntki came out hearing all the noises. There she saw Blizz and stood there in shock.

[Solarizing]

"I gave them up to SunClan," Scorpiondance mewed, small tears forming in the corner of her eyes. "T-They'll be safer there."

Lemon looked up to Venomsplash. "You should probably go to the Moonoasis now," she whispered. "The Clan needs a strong leader and medicine cat." she nodded to Minnowpaw. "I'll help get the newcomers settled in–"

"I'll help the newcomers," Flamemask snapped. "After all, they're from my former Clan." When Lemon left, he rounded on Flickerpaw and Parsnippaw. "So, why'd you kits leave? Is something wrong?"
"I'm not going to talk about it with you!" Parsnippaw mewed, her chattering fading away as the desert warmth danced around her.

"Ooh, Scorpian." Frostflower whispered. To leave one's kits must have taken a lot of grief for her sister. Afterall, she'd left with them. Feeling sad by her own loss, and her sister's she began to gently groom her, just as they had done when they were younger.

Wildfire wrapped his tail around her. "we must keep the kits closer." he mewed

Cougarkit followed his sister. he looked and gasped. padding towards blizzardmasks body he sniffed the wounds.

Venomsplash looked around thinking. she wanted to grieve but she had to be strong for her clan nodding she agreed. "i need Minnowpaw to come with me."
