Venomsplash shrugged. "that is why you learn just enough to protect yourself and the clan." she looked at olivepaw. "plus it isnt about who has the best moves... what i can teach you is to use your brain." she mewed resting her paw on olives forehead.

Cougarkit led minnowflicker into the territory. he padded quickly through and to the hole. he jumped down and started to follow the stream.

wildfire gasped. "i almost forgot about the gathering." (need to get sunclan ready)

"Someone must get Minnowflicker right away! We don't want the other cats to get mad at us for being late," Lemon mewed.

Olivepaw sighed. "Alright..." I don't want to fight though...

Venomsplash smiled. "good now let's teach you how to hunt"

Cougarkit led them through the darker tunnel. When they neared the end he smiled as he saw the blue light. "here. Right over there is the pool that I stuck my paw in to see eonclan" he mewed.

Olivepaw sighed. I already know how to hunt. But she followed her mentor without complaint.

Minnowflicker's lavender eyes grew wide as she inspected the underground oasis. "This is amazing..." she gasped. She turned to the kits. "Thank you. You have done your Clan a good deed."

Cougarkit smiled. "your welcome." he mewed. "may I sit and watch please"

Venomsplash led her apprentice to the training hollow. Noone had been there for a while and the prey were starting to take over. "ok catch one" she mewed.

Olivepaw closed her eyes and focused. The scent of kangaroo rat drifted towards her, and in an instant she spotted the creature nibbling on a seed under a cactus. Making sure she was well balanced, Olivepaw stalked the tiny creature. She pounced silently and swiftly locked her claws in it, and the rat died. Blood dripped onto her paws and with a pang of disgust she wiped it off in the sand. "I, erm, caught it!"

Minnowflicker cocked her head. "Watch what?"

Lemon lashed her tail. "Hello? Are we going or not?"

Cougarkit shrugged. "I thought you would test it out." he mewed. "oh and tonight's the full moon. Mom told us stories about the gatherings"

Wildfire growled. "chill!" he hissed to lemon

Venomsplash smiled. "good. But can you do it without your claws or teeth"

"Yes, of course." Olivepaw murmured through gritted teeth. Just because I'm quiet and I dislike fighting doesn't mean I'm a clueless kit!

Lemon snorted. "Well if I were Clan leader I'd never make my Clan late to such an important meeting!"

Minnowflicker nodded, "Thank you, Cougarkit. I'll consult Blizzardmask and Minnowpaw about this as soon as possible. And the full moon? Great EonClan, I'm late!" she bolted out of the cavern.

Venomsplash looked at her apprentice. Why does she think she is always being scrutinized. She thought.

Wildfire rolled his eyes. "yes but we can show up late with good news about the moonstone. But you wouldn't know much about that."

Cougarkit jumped up and followed his leader. He kept up mos of the time but stumbled some.

Lemon hissed, but didn't say anything in reply. Don't taunt me, Wildfire! I'll be a warrior soon enough!

Minnowflicker bolted into camp, out of breath. "The cats going to the Gathering..." she announced while scrambling up the Highpalm. "Will be; Venomsplash, Olivepaw, Blizzardmask, Minnowpaw, Unknownspirit, Cheetahpaw, Smokepaw, Jetfrost, Bananaspots, Tickpelt, Thrushbeak, Flamemask, and Waterstep! We will leave at once!"

Olivepaw looked up. "I guess we've ought to go," she mumbled.

Flamemask smiled. "A Gathering – about time!" He nudged Cloudspirit. "Don't have those kits while I'm gone!" Merrily, he ran out of the den.

Fireflypaw ran farther across the desert. "Must... get... ostrich..." she collapsed on the sand.
