Ice had been lost in thought, Chuckwallapaw's and Mangopaw's conversation had been backround noice. "Hmm what?" Ice mewed dreamily, quickly snapping back to alertness after hearing her name. "Oh, yeah that would be great!" Ice mewed. But Ice couldn't help but feel disppointed. The only reason she had come back to OasisClan was to see Chuckwallpaw and now she couldn't even enjoy some alone time with him? Magopaw had to be there too! Well I know their friends so of course they hang around each other alot but maybe they hang around each other a little too much. I've never seen them apart. Is there maybe something more then friendship going on between them? Ice's stomac seemed to do a little flip flop at the idea. "Um well I don't really know what a clan is. I mean, I've hear my mom talk of it before but none of it was good. So I don't really know what is in a clan exactly." Ice mewed, feeling stupid.

"A clan is a...big family. We all take care of each other. We have one leader and a deputy, Lemon and...well we don't have a deputy yet. We also have a medicine cat, Blizzardmask. He takes care of the sick. We have ranks. A kit is well...a kit. An apprentice is six moons to twelve moons. At twelve moons, an apprentice becomes a warrior. Warriors protect us. Then, you become an elder when you get really old. Elders are just wise, they don't really help," Mangopaw explained.

"But how does the clan hold all of thoes cats?" Ice mewed unbelievably.

[Shiverice]

"We just all help each other. We all hunt and fight," Mangie explained.

"No I mean how does everyone fit in such a small area of land?" Ice mewed.

"Small? This isn't small at all!" Mangopaw laughed.

Minnowstar paused. "Hmm... well we can't just run in there. I suggest we go in from the back or–" Suddenly a blaze of excruciating pain struck Minnowstar. "It's the lives!" she cried, the unbearable pain altering her voice. "Hurry!"
